Started this painting based on a sketch I made Sunday at the Seattle Aquarium. I'm planning on adding fish in the background but I started with the coral because coral (unlike other models) sits still and doesn't hop around.
So, whaddya think? I'm planning on having some smallish sharks and larger fish in the background and maybe a small school of brightly coloured fish in the foreground....Any suggestions? Observations?
It's looking very nice so far. I suspect you're going to finish texturing the rest of the coral, and with what you have so far it should look beautiful when it's done.
I would suggest painting in some colorful fish, if you can catch a good photo of them. If not, I'll look forward to the little sharks.
