I don't know what it is, Mr Hand, but you manage to get the theme across more clearly with a couple of smilies, than any of the other challenges do, with all their paragraphs of discriptions and links to wikipedia.



Nice stuff here guys, I particularly like klesk33's creepy faced chef, JanJager's use of colours, and how his robo-chef seems to be wearing a welding mask.



Great work guys, keep it up.

Argh, I'm supposed to focus on a commission, deadline's tomorrow and as soon as I saw this topic, I just HAD to do it! It was definitely worth the fun!

About 45 min or so in Photoshop. One layer only. Coloring like traditional. No contrast adjustment, only sharpening and a bit of len distortion to give it a extra dimension

Some really fun stuff here

What I find really funny, is that our robots all look quite different, but our cakes are almost always the same.

3 layers. Cylinders. Like wedding cakes or something.

There must be more types of cake in the world

Oh doh, true about cakes lol... maybe we're too used to see wedding cakes out there... they are usually the most expensive and all....

I haven't seen any expensive cakes outside the wedding now I think of it. That is probably why....
