Welcome! I must say, you chose an excellent first drawing to post.
Unfortunately my computer is being an ass, so I can't click on your link, but I know exactly what you are talking about. I love White. Go go go! Let's see what you draw!
You've really got a distinct line quality and way of handling the figure, but remember to dabble in realism a bit too. It'll help you stylize your figures in interesting ways.
Keep posting, rah rah rah.
Also, you might like the artist http://iumazark.deviantart.com/
Thanks mokhi, I draw out of anatomy books like a madman. While I don't prefer realism I know how important it is to have a solid foundation so I can be more flexible. That artist is amazing !hugs! that's the stuff I like This book is my bible http://www.figuredrawing.info/book.html
Nice designs, I like them, I think they are original
I think it would do you good to practice making cubes in perspective, you can build any kind of shape using cubes, even cilinders. Check andrew loomis book "Succesfull drawing" to undestand how: http://fineart.sk/index.php?s=16&cat=15
Keep up with the awesomeness .
Thank you christian, I actually know my perspective quite well but it's still hard trying to find "original" shapes that don't look so cliche which is what I try hard to do. I'll try to keep up with the awesomeness, I'll draw some more stuff and post it later.
I like your style, you have a very interesting line. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread! keep it up!
Good sketching man! It'd be great if you posted more of your anatomy studies. I'd recommend the book Constructive Anatomy by Bridgman...did wonders for me. Dynamic Figure drawing by Hogarth is a good book to get into once you've got some understanding of anatomy. Keep it up
thanks, cant take the credit for that though it's from tekkon kinkreet. I'll do some stuff in that style in due time
some great concepts in here,
that one pannel from your comic -the girl playing piano- has some beautiful colors, the track just fits perfectly.
The parallel dimension one is also nice, good contrast
Keep on arting!
I just took a break to post this.
But sometimes I also draw stuff
Thanks Kierra , im gonna visit your sketchbook soon I always like looking at your art. I was actually going for high contrast in that parallel dimension one in order to get my point across. Been playing my piano and drawing for like 12 hours a day so ill have a ton of stuff to post soon.
Hi there, I really like your work. =]
You have a nice style dude,
I like your lines they are kinda different.
Looking for Feedback! Please visit my sketchbook..
Hey, 1986, I just looked through your sketchbook and I thought I'd post what popped in my mind. Your works could use some cleaner line work. I know You may not be going for an extra clean polished look, but right now it's a bit messy and in my opinion takes away from the drawing. Take for example the two panels of Your comic book in your last post on the previous page. The first one is really hard to read, the shapes (like the buttons) don't read too well, and the overall use of colors makes the image flat.
The other panel, the girl playing the piano is different. Much better lines, forms and colors.
Didn't mean to sound harsh, so I'm sorry if I did. You are going to have a nice style, but You just have to work a bit more.
Hope it helps
HolyMane, thank you very much I plan to keep it up
I really like how free your lines are. I really like the watercolor paintings that you have.
Robert Vavra, thank you so much man, it is really appreciated. I focus more on the overall design and shape more than I focus on line quality. I love moebius and sylvain despretz as well.
Liking what I'm seein'. Keep up with the updates man. You have another here who is starting to post again. I'll be back .
Thanks man!, I just woke up so I'll have a couple of studies to show at the end of the day.
Good...I am subscribed and will be following suite. Taking a year off and trying to become as good as I can in that time and go from there...Pretty much man...stayed up long enough last night to read every TAD post there is. The inspirational words that came from scholarship winnings, etc. (I'm ready to accomplish something now too). You may be a head of me but I want the same thing.
So keep it it up. You are doing great and have another close by that will be conditioning next to you. You got my support.
I was curious if you used any sites for references. I saw that some were talking about a few different streaming tutorials? Do you know any sites I may want to look at? And have you written a schedule for drawing or just randoming it each day?
=) Pump it out!
I finally bought some of those moleskins..and I have to say I love their compact size! ...keep up the entries...nothing wrong with sketchbooks...usually their more relaxed...always a great way (in the future) to see your improvement...and to let others see it too! =)
[oh and thanks for the crit..i will be starting a bridgman book instead of scribbles i call gestures....i agree with shapes is more beneficial and was kind of had enough with it..lol..so youll see updates tomorrow.]
GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGO...omg - (dreams of more entries, lol)
Great stuff!, your comics comming along nicely, can't wait to see the finished product. As well as working on that i personally think that you should push out soem more anatomical studies, anyways keep going!
Exon needs your critique!
Nice. I'm digging the room in the last image. It was worth the effort.
can't stay away
