some recent things i've done, also some rotoscope animation stuff for my video class
Excellent paintings my friend! Are they all self portraits? Shading looks a bit funny on the lower right piece.
Rotoed animations it way cool.
@Giorge - thanks all photoshop CS3 for everything.
@Chiko - the first one is a self portrait, the rest are for other people
Got some more work done on the rotoscoping...
still need to shade it a bunch
hey finished a portrait
ugh I'm so bad without reference I'm gonna work on it though
the mouse is from life
still life, imagination crap, and rotoscoping
still life, silly grim reaper thing
ate some cereal today
been awhile. i've been somewhat busy. here's some stuff.
That singer in post 9 is great! You have dealt with the blue rear light really well and achieved successfully the 3d effect. The face, however, has a little weird proportions. I think the eye should go a little forward. Also, the left cheek looks kinda bumpy compared to the flatter right one. Finally, the place where neck joins lower jaw is too close to the chin, making the girl have a kinda wide neck. Anyway, these are some minor anatomy flaws that can easily be corrected. Work on them and we'll have an awesome piece!
@ Abrodos - hey thanks for commenting . I tried some stuff out, would you say this is better?
another one of these, not as happy with it though.

something small for now
nice portraits - I really like the way you use colors. This can almost save the other weaknesses of your pics for example that singer pic (like I said before, the color scheme is fascinating, but the face is very distorted). Do anatomy studies and learn facial anatomy to be more confident - it's much easier to draw if you know the underlying structure. I'd suggest that you should check Loomis' book on heads and hands You can have it for freeeeeeee

Hey thanks for commenting
yeah I feel both my line-work and my anatomy are weak
so here's a head from imagination (after messing w/ that loomis stuff)
I'll try to do more of these
this one was fun. I got lazy on the chest / abs though, my apologies
nice colours cosmo! I really like the blue light against the singer. keep it up
hey CA, it's been awhile
2 hour portrait i did today
wooo it has been forever I'm so sorry
the dude has kinda fucked up proportions (neck, feet? legs?)
