nov 2009 exhibition

Hi all. I've been really slow with posting work on the web this year. The reason is I've been working towards an exhibition which I opened 1st of november. Here is everything from the exhibit. I've been getting some great responses from visitors, and I hope you like it too.

For the next 3 images I used a different tecnique. I had the pencil sketches, and I photographed some paper which I'd smudged and stained with coffee. I mixted the sketches with the coffee-stained paper in photoshop and added somehighlights and shadows.

The next 3 images are oil paintings

Some good ones here. My favorites must be the mermaid and the brown critter drawings.

I dig the colors on #4.

The alien faces are a little too much alike.

Interesting work, I think the oil paintings are strongest - my fave being the first one. Just out of interest, are these on canvas? Looks like you either painting very 'impasto' or made yourself quite a rough surface to paint over. Good skills all round, hope the exhibition is successful.

Thanx slayer. I felt the exhibition was very successfull. I got loads of great feedback on it

The oilpaintings are on canvas, but I prep the canvas with thick layers of paint using a paletteknife to get the rough surface.
