I'll try to update every day and I'll definitely draw every day.

Anatomy studies from the past week:
And some faces from imagination done today. I'm still learning really basic things about photoshop, like the flow setting.
They didn't deserve to have hair. I need to work on eyes really badly.
GREAT START!! Loving the bridgman studies! Clean and confident lines always have a place in my heart Post more!!
oh i like this.
The studies are great!! that's the path you should follow
this is good! you will superhero one day
Wow, I wasn't expecting any replies on this. Thanks for the welcome
Gloominati: thanks! I'll definitely be posting a lot more
Gerbil Fetus: thanks for looking in!
[ste]: there will be SO MANY bridgman studies
andres333: thats what I realised, and now I have to make up for lost time
gnilrE: your belief gives me strength to save the world
Today's Bridgman studies:
Then I did some digital anatomy studies which I'm really unsatisfied with :/ so they're unfinished
Then lipsss. These are all from photos except one which is from a linda bergkvist painting. I want to do 27 more but basic anatomy is more important for now.
Then a study from a photograph.
Thats it for today! Now it's midnight so I have to start this assignment for school...
Was my first reaction to when I saw the pictures roll.
Errm... Carry on then. One crit: Face on the girl figure painting might be a bit big? I could be wrong though.
PS. Where abouts in 'Oz are you? (I'm from Melb, Vic)
Yeahhh I think you're right actually. That's a big problem for me, something to watch out for. I'm from Melb too! Finishing up my undergrad at Melbourne Uni.
Anyway, I forgot to post this. It's my master WIP
Hey lowkey! I'm glad you decided to create a sketchbook and to draw every day. The start is really strong! I love the Hogarth studies.
Keep it up, you're doing great!
Spaggen: thanks, just wish I'd started one sooner!
bad_painter: I will definitely do that. thanks for looking!
And then something from imagination. I wanna start doing more interesting stuff alongside the studies, but working without reference always just reminds me how much I still have to learn. Like for example, the eyes in this are lame which makes me want to go and draw A THOUSAND EYES
So I got started on that before bed
That's it for today. Last week of classes this week, looking forward to having more time to draw.
Awesome work !!! Keep it up
Great stuff in here, nice confident lines and smooth looking digitals.
No crits from me. Insane amount of personality and confidence in your line making. Keep it up!
wow. those figure studies(along with every other update) are explosive.
why is everyone from Oz always hiding on the east coast?
(we should start a sketch group or something.)
tottally loving the output here though, very inspiring and motivating.
lukart: thanks, I will! (y)
p_sage: thanks man, I just wish the arm studies would stick >_<
Slothboy3000: thank you!
Gerbil Fetus: man, I wish I knew a good sketch group in Melbourne. I'm having enough trouble finding an open lifedrawing class I dont need a car for. thanks for looking in!
Started the Bridgman studies too late today
A sketch where I copped out really badly on the arms. I feel like nothing I'm studying about the arm muscles is sticking, and I still get lost when I try and draw them from imagination. Oh well it's somewhere to work up from I guess.
Photo reffed study. I don't really like this direction for painting though. It's too smooth and overworked, and time consuming. Need to try something new. I do like how the hands came out though since thats something I've been working on.
moved to attachment because photobucket does not approve of naked
And an elf head. I kinda want to do more with this.
I didn't get much done today. I want to say I was busy with end of semester assessment but the time was there and I just didn't use it. Oh well NEXT TIME, SKETCHBOOK.

cool sketchbook, I really like this 1 > http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...rsomething.jpg
Thanks, I'm gonna do some more like it soon!
Today's Bridgman. I finally got some conte which is a lot easier to use than the crappy pencil. Just really trying to focus on the basic blocks of the arm so I can memorise them.
Then digital studies that should have been a lot faster. Trying to find better ways to paint
WoW! This is fantastic. I will echo everyone's sentiments about your Bridgman studies. Very nice and confident indeed! I can't wait to see what you imagination produces as you gain more and more knowledge going forward! I will be subscribing to your sketchbook! Thank YOU!
Check it out!
Why, yes I DO have a Sketchbook!!
Whoa, the last three digital pieces are soo-perb! Very solid and well constructed forms!
I have no crits for you this time. Just in awe. (The bridgeman stuff rocks as well)
wow good job with the digital paintings
Richard_M: Thanks! But I feel like my imagination stuff actually sucks really bad compared to the studies, which is an embarrassing statement. Hopefully you'll see some sweet improvement?!!?
scorpion007: Thankss man (￣▽￣)ノ＿彡☆
Joce: Thank you!
TODAY'S UPDATE is kind of embarrassing because I feel like I'm taking a step backwards in quality, but it's because I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone. Some things I really suck at are: drawing full body stuff from imagination, anything dynamic, painting fast. So from now on I'm really going to start trying to do more of that stuff. So expect some shitty artwork! YEAH!!
But first the regular bridgman studies (actually the first page is Hogarth)
Then Loomis. Going to revisit a lot of Loomis since he deals with the whole body construction I need so badly. The last page is applying the mannequin figure to posemaniacs
Hand study. Also on the list of things to work on
and digital anatomy studiesss
and then this WIP that I'm giving up on because the pose, design and anatomy all suck. I really hate this so I'm going to draw something like it EVERY DAY until I get somewhere I like
Didn't do much digital stuff today, trying to focus on pencil and paper basics D:
Today's half assed Bridgman:
and today's Loomis studies
and the second try at a full figure character. I'll probably work more on this one tomorrow
hoping to do more digital studies tomorrow. I need to make a list of stuff I want to work on because I wasted a lot of free time today wondering what I should do.
Today's Bridgman and Loomis studies
and some studies from virtual pose. really need to get my scanner working
aaand a digital study. need to start trying to do these every day but it's hard to find good photos to work from for guys. I dont want to end up with 100 pensive looking underwear models D:
worked more on this . how the the hell do people learn armour design. is this one mystery unsolvable by studies???
Wow, clean, and lots of studies every day. I like the Bridgman's, although I know what you mean about how anatomy sometimes doesn't stick in your head when you try to draw unreffed. I find it really helps to do several studies and then draw what you just did from imagination on a different page...
Anyway, it looks really good so far, I'll be checking back often
