my question is how do you guys keep yourself motivated to finish a painting, drawing illustration or whatever you are working on. I have found that recently I start a new image and get the basic mood and composition down and am happy with the way it is going but then seem to lose motivation the further I go, which results in loads of half done shite. I know that a large part of it is to just knuckle down and just push through until you start getting motivated again, I was just wondering if you guys have any tips for keeping yourself motivated with a peice.

the one thing that probably helps is putting it up here and have people say to you "that's a good one,FINISH IT",or "that's half-assed,you can do better!".
other than that i'm on the same boat as you. mirroring the image sometimes helps,as you notice alot of errors or things you could do better. sometimes i just let it lie around till i rediscover it a month later and start thinking "oh yeah, that was a neat idea, might aswell finish it..."
