The clockworksnail Experience- SKETCHBOOK!!!
had lots of work to do the last time so I could not to much stuff, but here is some more images, will continue with my anatomy stuff on saturday hopefully at the vandruff streaming session...
the first one I did not do the line drawing but anything else, because I had to speed up things,
the second one is just wip but feel free to comment on it...
@clockworksnail thx a lot for your kind words
so last update for tonight, this is the finished version of my italy picture series which I had to do for someone, Iīm not that impressed by it but Iīm happy that itīs finished...
after having visited the fantastic class of vandruff on anatomy I canīt wait to continue with anatomy, so I hope that I will find some time...
HEy .,.. nice stuff, especially love your colors! keep it up
Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook mate.
You're really updating! Thats really good. I see some great studies here, especially the latest landscape studies and the Bridgman stuff. Keep it up and you're doing great!
Btw, I've finally updated my SB now. Please check it out and leave a comment if you've time. It would be great
@Spaggen tnx bro, of course I will check your SB too, you know one hand helps the other, and we get pros in no time
here are some more bridgeman, well some are bit messy I guess, will have to rework those, try to make some more tonight, but lets see...
You have some very interesting work here, especially the landscape pieces which are fantastic.
Keep up the good work.
@fiddy tnx man, really apreciate it
here is some bridgeman, somehow I had problems with page 84, it doesnīt make sense to me on how to put the four lines without additional measuring, on last sketch of page 85 there are two number 2 and where exactly does 2 and 3 cross then, or is it not that important?
would be cool if someone could help me out...
Hey, watch out for the facial deformations, most of your faces look like they would be squished Don't rush with it while you can't catch the form good, you can take your time when you do studies like that which require construction, to witch you could stick more, rather just copying the siluetes Im not saying its just the construction, but u need to stick at both of them.
on your last landscape, the ship seems to be levitating on the water instead of floating on it, it has its own weight, which makes him sink a bit, doesn't it?
And imho you could use softer contrasts with lines and colors for the objects that are further to reach some depth.
I thought that this could help you Good luck in your works man, don't give up, and draw till u drop, you will reach good results if u will continue to work much
thanks for stopping by at my SB, I will try to follow your tips and hope to find that construction method of bridgeman, cause as you mentioned I did not understand or see a construction method. Maybe I should read it again or try to find some secondary literature to get it done right...
tnx and cheers so far
You have some great landscapes here, its good that you seem to be enjoying drawing so much

Like your environments especially your last mountain post. Are these from refrence, or invention. if you dont mind me asking.
nice stuff, I especially like that last mountain post. You have a loose expressive
style thats fun to look at. If I to may ask do you use refrence for these or are they invention. btw great work
thanks amr-28, most of my images are from reference but my aim is to paint more from imagination in the future. The last weeks I focused a lot on composition, made some master studies, watched Jason Manleys composition vid and read a lot about it but still have problems to figure out complex scenes like the last one and therefor relied on images I found on the web. This is also true when it comes to lighting but my colors and perspective are 90% from what I learned. After the last weeks of study however I feel a bit more confident with composition and make much more judgements on my own then before. But there is still a long way to go..... Hope that makes sense
you really pay amazing attentin to detail. its impressive.
