I am looking for a artist who is likely a little nuts and has a great sense of off beat humor to be my partner in producing a Web Comic. I say partner because frankly without an artist I don't have a Web Comic, it's not mine it's ours. Obviously there would be no pay in this (hence the listing being here), if by some fat chance there was ever a profit in the project it would obviously be split 50/50.
It's called "Scene 1 Take 3"- A quirky slightly dark comedy with a dash of drama about a group of Indie Film makers trying to get a Horror movie filmed. The going ons of film making is a back drop with the majority of the stories being about the characters themselves.
As of current there are 30 scripts written but there are outlines for future story lines.
I am hoping to have it hosted on Rampage Network since it would allow the comic to have a dot com without the expense, IE Rampage Network picks up the bill as long as the comic is regularly updated. The beauty of the service is they allow you to leave at any time and you just then have to pay for the dot com yourself.
There was an artist on this project for a short time so some of the character design has been fleshed out but not set in stone. The artist had some life issues come up so he could not commit.
To tell you a bit about myself I am a produced screenwriter: Short Films: LAY of the Land ( 2007 ), Fruitful Pursuit ( 2008 ), Fear itself ( 2008 Co-Writer), The Last Moments of Killbride ( 2008 ) and Expendable ( Filming Winter 2009/2010 ); Feature Films: V.A.m.L. ( Releasing Fall 2009 ), Moonshine Massacre ( Filming Spring 2010 ) and MAIZE ( Filming Fall 2010 ). I am influenced by the usual Quentin Tarantino, Kevin Smith, John Carpenter but also Wes Anderson, Paul Haggis, Len Wisemen, Leone westerns, Japanese movies, Kung-Fu Movies from China, Anime and Joss Whedon.
