[ Filling a similar ecological niche, this beast has certain characteristics that echo Earth's large cat. ]
[ It will not look like a cat, mind you... ]
[ It will simply share certain characteristics. ]
Creature ALIEN PREDATOR SHARES SIMILARITIES W/ EARTH'S BLACK PANTHER
Hope this isn't too catty...
EDIT: Needed 1) more desu and 2) more saturation

***** of 5 stars!!!!
i luv it
I'll still have a go with this I gues, and dont want to moan plus smart-ass but there's no such thing as 'Black Panther', animal formerly suggested an individual species is nowadays regarded as Leopard. The black color (its camoflage spots still show up) is simply a variation to the usual yellowish-brown and derives from a genetic anomaly.
blarf not even that speedy-had promise for about 5 min
To the air...
Here is my design. This is a Pahn'thrit a combination of a panther, catfish, tiger shark, squirrel, Jack Rabbit and spider monkey. You can also see it here at my deviantart http://moukidelmar.deviantart.com/ar...hrit-136600525. Comments are welcome.
It looks a little like a panther, but actually lives in the sea of an unknown planet. It is one of the more fierce predators, quick to swim and able to move about on land as well.
My first speed paint EVER!!
My friend showed me this site and this forum, and I thought that I would have a go, not a bad first attempt I guess.. Need to do some more work on the shadin, but apart from that it's ok
Game over man, GAME OVER
I learn a lot from you guys. Thanks a bunch
trying to work on developing my own style, also trying to echo my chosen media on paper which is watercolour, with deatail in ballpoint pn. let me kno what you think.
Weeee, some really excellent entries guys. Here's my contribution.
a very quick try on this one
Only very tenuously 'panther like' in that its the melanistic form of a mammalian carnivore. Owes more to the brown hyena and the binturong than panthers really....
Still trying to get the hang of painter, much harder to produce the strokes I want with it, and doesn't have the same tactile feel that real painting has, quite odd really. i think I just need to get more familiar with the brushes.
You guys are awesome! Tobba, I think you are fine....In order to have features that identify it as similar with the black panther, it has to look somewhat cat-like. We wouldn't identify it as black-panther like, otherwise
First Attempt at DSG...
GrimRabbit - great angle and expression.
Edward B - crazy good!
R3u5 - i like the robotic neon arms
Mae_Haftahurcha - ace character expression.
Flapenko - i like where your going with the colors, please come back and show us more!
Nice entries everyone!
