Hello, I recently took up work on a new comic originally to be posted to a website co-owned amongst myself and a few friends, with a possible chance to be published by a couple smaller "independent" comic companies. Thing is, I don't really have a lick of artistic integrity in me when it comes to the drawn half of this field.
Currently, I am looking to find someone who can help me out with the concept art for characters, environment, and possible layout of this upcoming endeavor.
Centered around a man living a cruddy life in his mid-twenties, a surreal twist informs him he doesn't have much longer to live. Fighting against his impressive bad luck, he sets out to correct certain aspects before biting the big one. This draws on a lot of genres ranging from horror/creature feature to sci-fi to dramady.
If you are interested, please contact me at CSFiction@aol.com for more information. Thanks!
Small question, how did the story you describe involve horror/creature feature? Is he a werewolf?
That actually has to do with his "impressive bad luck" and the fact that he's going to die. More or less, he's been visited by the omen of death, also known as black shuck. Seen as a 150+ lb. black dog, it's like a booster of bad luck. Thing is, the character already has enormous bad luck, so it doesn't effect him normally. So the dog follows him around, "saturating" him, you could say, in bad luck. This is what causes the whole horror/creature feature aspect. As the luck gets worse, the attempts to kill off this character become more "drastic" and even supernatural. Werewolves, Zombies, Ghosts, etc. All have the possibility of making it in.
