So pleased you started a sb, I've been a fan of your work for a while now. The full painting that you have as your avatar is one of my favorite images.. possibly ever.
For those who haven't seen it - http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1248544806
I enjoyed looking though your site as well, and of course fantastic work with your NewBorn entries too!
Ok, as promised, here are super old and raw comic pages.
those are direct scans, not cleaned and not shaded, only rough line work...
Don't be to hard on those, i made them 8 years ago and never polished to final... old crap
Its drawn on paper with ink, some rapitograph, don't remember mm specs... it has been too long ago..
i cannot find page 1.... so i start with page 2, and no text, sorry.. and some panels in between are missing... hope it still makes some sense, is hard to read without the text and proper intro on page 1. as i remember you see a big city with many people on page one up to page 4 the panel with the laptop all you see is just a memory the guy replays in his head ( he is hooked up to a brain he found in some container), after he is done you see the laptop appear as his vision is getting back to normal...
This guy is a junk hunter, he is salvaging lost tech, old organic computers in the restricted area.
The computers are organic here, you see spines that act as RAM and brain as HDD and CPU here and there... thats part of the setting of this world.
The story goes something like that:
The hero has to save a woman, he dont know why or who, but he will know when he finds her and falls in love. To save her, he has to kill her. Once he kills her, she will wake up for real and this world will disappear... but in the real world she no longer lives, all what is left after a war is her brain in a jar hooked up to machines. So the main machine core that takes care of her brain knows that and tries to recruit the hero to stop the wake up process in order to save the world, even tho it is not real/
The name of this project was "Dulbin Sabre"
At that time post A SF was popular. I met Nihei tsutomu who made the Blame manga while i was working on it and another artist made the Eden manga.
I never finished the 3th chapter tho, at that time i was busy with Aquanox game development.
READ FROM RIGHT TO LEFT< LIKE MANGA

I remember i posted some small scans 2 year ago already... not sure.
Thanks man! I appreciate that
Thank you! Yes those manga pages are 8-9 years old... most of what i posted here is rather old, that is why i never posted those on cgs or elsewhere.
I will start posting some brand new images this days too. Need to show progress
Thanks man! You are a good observer... i really do love them boobies.

In fact, one may say my life is focused on boobies.
Just kidding... it is not like i only care about boobies, i also love a really nice ass...

i hardy visit DA, i update my port there every 1-2 years, really bored with that site and no time....
For now i post mostly old things here, and only a couple new sketches, if you want to see some new illus you can follow the gallery link in my sig. I will make a new big dump in the ff section soon too.
damn, this thread is extremely inspiring man!
Thank you for posting this so called "junk" even though in anyone's right mind, there is no such thing as art being junk haha... I did have a question for you though.
How long have you been doing digital painting? And what pencil hardness do you generally sketch with?
"Although nature commences with reason and ends in experience it is necessary for us to do the opposite, that is to commence with experience and from this to proceed to investigate the reason."
Leonardo Da Vinci
La Super Duper Uber SG!!
i love your work !! it's amazing!!! i like that manga~!!
I have been going digital since the beginning of digital, first on some green monochrome apple computers in school where we had to type in coordinates to draw a circle and make some sort of ascii art.
for sketching on paper i prefer ball pens in black, the cheap one and the super fine. and i need a thick magazine to put under coz i press real hard...
If i use pencils then i use faber castel HB and B2. For watercolor only schminke premium and chinese pancils (various animal hairs), for ink i use various Rotring rapidograph pens and sketch on 100 gsm A4 print paper.
Thanks! i wish i had the time to make mangas...
i could probably do the same pages 5 times faster now and a lot better haha.
...humm maybe i will do a redesign of some old page for fun
Beautiful as always.
I really like that comic. Pity it has no text...
Just keep posting...
Lmfao, love the reflection of the guy in the mirror on post 43.
But seriously. You do work like this quickly??....Mannn...you put me to shame...SHAME!
I wanna be this good one day. And i've set up camp. Im going to be living here for a while, so keep feeding me inspiration!
@ Munin Raven
Thank you! But i wish it were all easy, i try hard.
Yes...i dont even remember what the text was, i posted bits of the story tho.
Maybe i will do a lil project for fun and redesign all the pages sometimes...
Cool, thanks! You can live here as long as you like
I think i do work quick tho i can not say for sure, i don't know how long the others need to get things done.
