What a gorgeous lady, love her face! And those juicy oranges Is this from ref?
I haven't really tackled very dark skintones myself, so I'm probably not much help, sorry But I think you did a good job, the values are looking well. Maybe add some hue variety in the darkest ones around her nose/eyes, she's a little flatter there than around the neck. I also wonder if her lips may be more red or peach coloured? They seem almost the same colour as her skin, which is obviously fairly normal, but I think it'd fit the character. Just my 2 cents
Yey!! You finally updated!!
And she is very pretty. Like asa said, i think you did great and i so love the oranges too. Values yeah, pretty good, just the earring seems a bit to flasy to me. He attracts a bit to much your attention from, for example, her eyes.
Hope to see you posting again soon.
I love your digital paintings! especially this last protrait, I like that you left the hair plain black. And her skin looks really good, she reminds me of Esmerelda from Hunchback of Notredam
In some of these i always find interesting details that i didn't realize the last time i look at it.
Last drawing is particularly nice, with an interesting colour scheme! () and then this one here .
I find the design and the overall mood in sync, in an interesting way.
Hope you won't wait for another year to pass till your next update!
But even if you do, it's still better than nothing,
so yeah, just don't forget us cA people who would like to see your work!
nice improvement here. I love the character designs and the facial expression sheets. I also like the minimalistic, cartoony rendering, though I'd love to see other styles as well. More detail here and there (or just using patterned or 'dirty' brushes) would be a nice touch.

Amazing SB ..
I liike the way that you draw characters .. your coloring .. even your ideas are .. outstanding ..
please keep posting !!!
Ooh... I like how in that newest expression sheet, you manage to make the same expressions take on a slightly different tone on each of the different characters. C: Nice variation of facial features! (Something I have trouble with sometimes, heh...)
Sorry for my long absence. After my last update in September I got very sick and had to battle a nasty bronchitis for months! On top of that I had to write a paper for my studies and well... let's say there wasn't much time for artsy stuff.
But there's also good news: I passed my last test in Law, I finished my paper and when I'll finally finish my translation I can start with my Master's thesis an finish my studies! YAY! Also, I'm now officially a freelance illustrator and I was hired right away by a children's book publisher to illustrate their books.
Anyway, here's what I managed to pull off during the last months:
I'm not sure if I mentioned it here: I also started scribbling my comic last year (with most of the characters you see here in this thread). You can read the sketchy paged on my deviantART http://pretty-angel.deviantart.com/gallery/26063041
Last but not least: Thanks so much for your feedback! Sorry again that I don't post as often anymore but I read every one of your posts.
I see men with beard!!
Very nice work. The character designs are pretty good - they keep varied and dynamic poses. But maybe you can spruce them up a bit, add some small details or something, to make them more memorable and distinct to each character?
Oh, looking good! I think it would be nice with some orange sunlight above/between the hanging cloth!
