Hey Elz, your paintings are really coming along! Your portraits are wonderful as usual (especially those studies in post #179). For a crit, try not to overuse edge highlights (the ones that kind of outline the edge of the form) because they tend to flatten your objects and make them feel 2-dimensional, like they're cardboard cut-outs. They do add contrast and drama to a scene, but at the expense of volume, so try not to lean on them too much. If you can set up the lighting to produce highlights that follow the contour of the form, that's going to show off the sense of volume and space much better. Keep up the good work!
