Right here I am again
So I did some Hogarth studies, and I tried adding his arms on one of them. Now his arm closest to the viewer seems wrong, it's tilted backwards a bit but still , the shoulder seems wrong.
Hmmm, it looks to me like the figure's left shoulder should be higher, or you could make the neck area above the right shoulder smaller. Looks a bit chunky atm.
Ok thank you, indeed it looks better that way (Bit of a doodle)
yep much better now, glad I could help.
the second figure looks a lot better
it's nice you're doing studies ; i might be wrong but if i judge by the first figure it looks to me you are not paying enough attention to setting your figure. to construct your figure properly it is really important that you set up properly all your measurements, proportions and placement of body parts simultaneously before you start building them up and adding muscles. it is a tedious stage but it pays off because there is a lot less room for mistakes with a proper initial set up.
it's a bit of a general advice but i hope it helps.
