We produced an independent feature film “Hero Tomorrow” that is being released on DVD in late September. A coinciding online comic book “Apama – The Undiscovered Animal” will be released at the same time.
We have an artist on board for book one, but are very interested in speaking with artists for future issues with a possible opening immediately.
We're also interested in speaking with artists about poster and t-shirt designs - this would be a negotiated flat fee plus royalty on sales.
Please take a look at www.herotomorrow.com for info about the film. There’s sample artwork on the blog at www.herotomorrow.blogspot.com.
We do have a budget for all positions. We’d like to be in the 50-75 per page range for colors, and 50 for lettering, and the art would be in the 150 to 200 per page depending on how finished it is.
If you are interested please send links to your portfolio, along with fees to firstname.lastname@example.org.
"Hero Tomorrow" - The Film
David, a struggling comic book creator from Cleveland, spends his days cutting grass and his nights smoking it while desperately trying to keep his superhero fantasies alive. When Robyn, his aspiring fashion-designer girlfriend, makes him a Halloween costume of his original character Apama, it doesn't take David long to hit the streets and begin blundering towards disaster.”
“Apama – The Undiscovered Animal” - The Online Comic
The twist is that it’s the book David was trying to publish, so it’s kind of zany and with dark comedic elements – nature versus technology themed.
Thanks so much for taking a look at the project and we always strive to create positive experiences for everyone who becomes involved.

I just wanted to give a major thanks to everyone who has submitted and expressed interest in Apama. We never expected to have so many amazing artists apply for this project.
It's obviously really important to study all of your work before we start correspondence. I'll send a form email out this week that will let everyone know that we have at least received their initial email and it wasn't lost in the spam or shuffle.
Thank you again and best wishes.
Everyone who submitted should have received an acknowledgement email from me within the last 24 hours. If you did not please let me know.
A year later...
Issue 1 of Apama is completed. I want to thank once again everyone who submitted - over 100 amazing artists. We had a very tough time choosing and could not have done this without Concept Art.
In the book itself there is a guest pinup section in the back - This is something we intend to do with each issue, so if you're interested in doing one please let me know.
I posted a cover image in the "It's FINALLY finished" Forum.
The full readable comic is posted at http://www.herotomorrow.com
Best wishes and huge thanks again.
Hey Black Fish.
The reason we did this book is because we felt we had something very new to say in the superhero arena. And yes, we're thrilled with our artist : )
Thanks for checking it out.
Hey, the art style is some kind of golden age comic to me. Good work with the super hero comic

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Oris -- please take no offense -- I'm a bit confused by your message. 'Shi' is a term I'm not familiar with.
Also I've been getting a bunch of new submissions for sequential artists, and while we appreciate it, that position is definitely filled. I was stating that guest pinups within the book are going to be ongoing.
Thanks so much again to everyone.
Apologize me , of the course i would suggest serious terms, but with due words funny used to everyone in this great niche comics however isnt pointing you or his comics project.
Now i say seriously, sequenteal art ... panel at panel or single picture for a book as well the artist may to be remember but really those are words or ideas how will judgement, ...when them with due logical and nice,...them can go forever
...if i draw i will be remember but if i writte idea awesome i will be forgot never!!!
