Hello all! I don't really plan on pursuing a career in animation, but I like doing cute little animal animations for my own amusement. I am in college for Illustration and I don't have a ton of time to myself -- but I do have the resources for animation.
I would appreciate any critique, really. xD I know they're awful. I do all my animations with a light table and just plain printer paper. So, a few times I scanned wrong or the paper moved. n___n; Anyways. I haven't done any exercises and my only two animations involved walk cycles. I referred to an animation book slightly for my first cycle, then just guessed on the 2nd.
*Doggie 'slides' as his head raises up from eating. I have no idea why. xD
it looks about like you said, you havent really used any reference, you guessed on the second one, you don't have much time, you're doing it for fun, you scanned a few wrong drawings and the paper moved on some others.
-start a revolution.
Ouch man, harsh(:
Three words for you: Keep on studying.
Okay then, I guess I deserved that.
As of right now, my only main goal is to be able to revamp an old animation my friend and I did 2-3 years ago. I didn't get to animate as much so I ended up doing mostly backgrounds/colouring every drawing and just animating a little bit of the toad. It did teach us both a ton about animation ( it took us half a school year or so to do the whole thing ), and we keep talking about redoing it, so I want to improve so that I can also animate quite a bit.
My friend uploaded the video to dA, I don't have the files on hand.
