I recently saw, but was too dumb to bookmark, a speedpainting video where the artist started with a photograph - I believe it was a medium shot of a bunch of flowers - and proceeded to paint over it, transform it, clone it into an abstract environment out of which he pulled some shapes that he turned into a figure.
Does this ring a bell for anyone? The comments in the thread (I think it was here but several forum searches found nothing) suggested that this was a somewhat common or known technique.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks very much. I'm a bit too buswhacked from a looonnnngg day of freelancing but a quick glance tells me that your link was spot-on.
Cheers & have a great weekend.
