Needing some suggestions =)

I wanted the colors to be kinda weird obviously, but I also don't want them to be hideous. Unfortunately most of my coloring is done on a laptop so I feel it's even more necessary to get some outside opinion on this matter.

If anything else strikes you as needing something, I'm glad to hear it.

I'm loving the color scheme. Roll with it. (:
Other than that...I feel like the left side of his face (his left) is a bit too wide. That might look different once you finish the hairline and shading though.

And if you're going for a perfect likeness, Einstein's 'stache was, in reality, a lot more messy than that. There's nothing technically wrong with how you have it now, it's just neater than the real thing. xD

Looks good. The brushwork is very confident and controlled. I like the feathering in the blends—it really turns the form well.

It might be a good idea to get more color variation in the flesh tones—right now the light areas are pretty much all orange-red and the shadow areas are all green. You will get more volume and create more interest if you allow for some shifting in color (i.e, use some blues and pinks and purples) instead of only shifting in value (which is pretty much what you're doing now.)

FYI, the illustrator Philip Burke works with these sort of ultra-pushed colors—you might want to look at his work for inspiration.

angelica: Thanks, and I do agree with you about the left side of his face, I'll have to mess around with it some more. And LOL his mustache- I'll have to punk it out XP

Giacomo: Awesome, thanks for the compliment and double thanks for the suggestion on the color and for the artist ref... I will definitely give that a look! I'm glad that the feathering doesn't seem like "too much" because I was a bit undecided on whether or not I should do it.

Hah! Awesome concept. I agree with the others about the mustache, and I would also recommend putting more observable creases and planes into his face; Einstein had a very characteristic face, particularly as he grew older. Stronger shadows, and sharper definition between planes. *thumbs up*

Totally agree, I kept thinking he looked a little too young for what I wanted. =)
