I've been trolling for some time now, absolutely pants-shittingly amazed at the depth of talent on this site. I've always been into drawing, i have a new media art degree from Penn State, but only took a couple figure drawing classes. sooo, i have very little training and i'm struggling through learning to use a tablet. I'm a graphic designer so i know photoshop through and through, which definitely helps. But i've always had issues with proportions and color. What i need is some comments on my style and any suggestions at all on how i can improve the liveliness and expression of my stuff. So far all i can do is draw from reference, so i'll keep practicing and TRY to put stuff up every day (50 hour weeks and trying to stay in shape tend to prohibit that). In the end i'd like to get something respectable to show MFA illustration programs by the summer at some point. Thanks for looking and listening, hope to hear all your opinions.
Here are a couple practices and a speedpaint (~1 hour).
Aaaaand a link to the video of the speed paint.
