Hey bro, your stuff is looking very good, particularly like your still life, think there is some very good colour and form going on there =) Maybe add some boots to your guy there, to up the drama abit =) Could easily see some nice dress patterns going on there, could paint them flat and then warp them in PS.. just an idea.. Okay qwl, good luck with your next study bro, it's good to see you again and welcome back! =) =)
Thanks for the comment on the SB, appreciate it, hope all is well with you, keep on working hard!
Thanks for all of the encouragement everyone, it means a lot!
I've been in a slump for a while, I know, but I'm getting back on track now that my life
seems to be going in a better direction. Here are some studies for now, have an
illustration on the way too.
Bro, your studies are fire and ICE! =) Lull =) Maybe a bit more colour variation in your clouds, can only really see greys in there I think.. Some subtler colours placed in those clouds could lift them a bit =) Nice work on all pieces imho =) Looking forward to seeing your illustration bro =) Nice to see you as well, missed you lots.. =) *Man hug* =)
Thanks for stopping by my Sketchbook man Your stuff is looking nice. Keep on trucking
kungfoowiz: Thanks dude; and yeah I see what you mean, I'll keep it in mind!
Eightball: Thanks; you're right, I need to do some more structure studies
skMop: Thanks, and yeah, I plan to do a life study soon and spend hours on it.
Ven: Thanks man! You too
Here's a study from a movie screenshot.
Nice studies. keep it up
Hey bro! =) Good luck with moving to Austin, I hope you get enough money soon to manage that, sounds like quite a trip too... =) Mmm, as a tip maybe.. hope you don't mind, would maybe push up your core shadow against the highlight for a more dramatic steel effect.. jus imho.. hope that helps =) Nice work man, very TAD-esque! =)
Thanks for the advice guys; it definitely helps. I definitely see what you mean about the steel effect kungfoowiz. And yeah, the landscape study was a bit rushed, though I haven't done many landscapes at all; so I definitely need to do more landscape studies and spend more time. I'll be doing some quick composition studies soon, and I'll throw in a really tight study as well to keep the balance.
You have definitely improved your material rendering skills.
I need your help to teach me doing those material spheres.
Where did you find the examples, is there any tutorial
or useful link? Please share it, thanks in forth.
Hey bro, your studies are great to see, I hear you're working in an Italian restaurant now =) I know you mentioned you didn't like your still life but I jus got one crit on it really, it seems to be leaning over slightly on the left, sorry if that seems harsh but hope it helps =) Good luck with your next drawings =)
