Not feeling well today, headaches and such.
Sketch dump from mirror ( kinda crappy ) and other sources, plus few loose photoshop sketches. i've used photorefference for people, but tried to play around with the colors myself. How well it turned out, you judge.
And teh music, Judas Priest cover

good job buddy! good studies, you will sometimes need to do the same studies twice or even three times to really understand it, and each time you go back to it you will see it with a better understanding.
I really like what you did with my shaky knight ^^
last page is really kickin bruv
keep up the wonderfull work, especially loving the witch concept
"Poor is the pupil who does not surpass his master
Some NDS sketches done with Colors!
And a sewer sweeper team speedpaint, totally from imagination, so bare with me
(P.S I need to work on making my images more clear, less dirty and full of textures)

your growing a pretty fresh style to dude
keep it up
till next time
sketchbook updated October 6th
Ok folks some lifedrawing today, we finally have a model, she will strip out of her clothes more on each session. Plus one OLD! portrait of my teacher.
I'm also aware, that orportions are abit off, oh well i tried
The quality's poor as these are taken with a mobilephone cam.
P.S The one from the left has been drawn 2 times, legs actually, as it was part of the exercise, the model changed her pose abit and we had to adjust.

These life drawings are really sweeet. Some good stuff coming out of you
As you pointed out yourself, the proportions are slightly off, but you realized it yourself.
Keep on working!
Sorry for not updating daily, but i'm kinda busy lately. Some personal stuff.
Here's some thumbnails. The dark knight rider, came out familliar then i realized it looks like frazetta piece. It's funny how much of an influence can some other artist work be, even if your not conscious of it.
Thank you D!
I'm so freakin tired today, i did some sketches in my ol' sketchbook, will upload them timorrow, maybe.... : P
To not trash this thread with plain text, here's a speedie i've finished few minutes ago. His arm still feels wrong to me, well i did not have any refference for this one. Will have to get a huge mirror to my room for future help
wow man the indian is pretty good! especially his face is really convincing, I'm quite surprised to hear you did not use any ref for this one, 5 thumbs up bro.
edit: and yeah he has some proportion issues, head too small arms too long.
Great improvement! Last character's looking quite nice.
Oooh don't you worry now, you certainly are not getting rid of me THAT easily tehehe Hopefully i can say, that i am back!!
Sorted out another bit of my life, decided (i think) what i want to do further with my studies, keeping at it, and now my mega drawing eagerness is back, now when i regained some strength from sleeping too, sleep i was so eager to have in this mini-holiday!
I can see some really nice progress in these pages! The real life studies are getting better, especially the mood, i can also feel a lot, and i mean a lot of improvement with your colour combinations overall!
You changed your sketching style a bit too; i noticed the shading hatching immediately
Your digital skills are so much better too!! I mean..look at this witch! The mood, the colours, the little particle blue details..i love it!
Your clown is another excellent example!
Now that i think about it more, and have another go at all your work, i think what really grew, overall, is that overall mood, that special something that a drawing needs to bring her to life. Congrats!
Hope to see more from your stuff, and never have to see you take a period of absence like i did!
the last one is soooo nice - I really like colours and this "Lord of the Rings" feelin' => bardzo fajnie się zapowiada
Last piece is looking promising..
Looking for Feedback! Please visit my sketchbook..
I am so sorry for worrying you all
I hope something like that won't happen to soon again..
Back on track!
So lets give our best now!!!
On your new peace, yeah..i think you should study what shape and colour means in commercials..round shapes are usually for cosmetics, kids, cute stuff, so i think you should use more edgy, sharp letters, perhaps a darker red too.
Try different styles out..
This is old but i want to share it with you, so you can laugh of it as i do now
Well this was meant to be a self portrait, the only thing that i actually did right is the haircut, and my right ( not viewers side) eye. Now go on Kek about it! ^^
Here's some quick sketches i did in, nevermind you don't wan't to know ;P
Purely from imagination, i need to do whole freking lot more of this if i want to be a concept artist. And oh yeah for all you "I does monsterz wannabe" watching discovery channel and animal planet helps too ! For real!
Love the sketchin'
the really fast and really loose ones show your creativity the most, that's what i believe
and i won't go n kik nor kek nor squack about it because we all have our start, our good, and better moments
the nose and forehead are good..i think drawing a nose straight forward is hard because it doesn't seem all that natural, that it's a bit stiff and unnatural pose from the start
Hey bud sorry I haven't visited in soo long! Finally have some ok internet back.
Indian char. a few posts back - very nicely suggested face! I wouldnt say the head is too small, but he is a tad too short and leaning back. Upper arm too long?
I think there is a bit of learning yet in how/where to use the textured brushes - how you've used them in the mentioned character is nice, keeps it loose and suggestive. Using this similar look through an entire environment will stop it from reading clearly. I need to get back into this myself, but its a though I wanted to leave with you. Try and find some good textured environments you like, and see if they use different brushes for different 'textures', and how areas are clarified from each other.
Try some studies of portraits, for example, with stronger lighting from one side like this one: http://www.david-kennedy.com/blog/wp...nedyd_0036.jpg
It will help make the drawing more 3D to accent the 'planes' of the head, where in this you can clearly see the front for the side due to the lighting. Too ambient of reference and I don't think you can learn as much about the shapes.
Hey thanks for dropping Jake.
You are right in every word, i have some issues that i must deal with, mainly bad habbits and lack of knowledge. I just needed some fun to rest from the studies and draw from imagination, it definitely helps to relax while you are driven by the piece.
Ok here's a concept of some sort of horror creature, well if you'd ask what inspired me, years with silent hill series obviously ( Huge Fan! )
Ok i think it's time to get back to sudies now, first things first, aye?
The shadows of Mordor is good! you could tweak it up a bit to add mood. I love your recent stuffs mate lots of colors and imagination like it!
boost those studies to enrich your mental library and then make even crazier concepts!
Speedpaint update today:
This one done from scratch using only my imagination:
A piece done for a weekly speedpainting contest on max3d.pl topic was: "Conquering the space"
And here's another fun with different brushes, general anatomy of the cats used as refference.
