Sci-Fantasy • TWO ALIEN FIGHTERS FACE EACH OTHER IN A CAGE MATCH
Comparable weight class?
Time to give it a whirl instead of watching all the posts =)
original is DIN A 4
And somewhere along the line, she came down with a serious case of dead.
Brainbug, i hope he can use his legs. Good cartoony take on the subject.
Blackvolgan, very nice sketch, would like to see it more completed.
Midgetmauler, welcome to the dsg, the green ones always win.
Fufhi from Yogoth, four arms, i like it.
Physicalparia, hard to read but i think the one with the highwaynose is losing.
perspective is off a bit, but you get the idea...right?
First post here at DSG. Yay! I hope it's complies to the rules.

Quick Sketch and cleanup
hehe, fun topic
BrainBug: That's pretty funny I like the cartoony feel, Reminds me of that old N64 game clay fighter.
BlackVolgan: Cool looking alien creatures. Good job with the traditional medium.
midgetmauler: Thanks for posting, The blue one looks like its eating an alien friend chicken. lol
Physicalpariah: Nice, I guess the one on is winning but he lost his leg? lol
Tommoy: Good sketch I really like the shinny jello like feel of the blue alien.
brewin: cool lookin aliens good work with the lighting as well.
iambanana: Good perspective! Kinda what I had in mind at first then I drew my aliens too big lol.
Denzo: Good lighting, I don't know how that zergling looking creature is going to beat that cloud, it would be a nice match to watch lol
monotony: dang that's nice! Probably my favorite so far. I want to learn how to pain like that. so crisp and sharp and the colors blend every well. My drawings always seem blurry I hate that. Thanks for posting.
Figured I'd join this rabble
Those aliens never fight fair. 20 mins
BlackVolgan: Traditional mediums always hold a special place in my heart. Would love to see it more filled out.
Tommoy: I love the loose feel you bring into your ideas that I wish I could incorporate with my works.
Denzo: Love the energy creature. Very unique approach to the idea.
Monotony: I think your's is my favorite so far. You've captured a playful, yet serious approach to the idea. The expression in the fallen ones face is dead on.
Here's what I've got...
Original image was quite wider, but then when space was filled, it took away from the focus that being the two warrior aliens. In sliding "fatty" over closer to Mr. Green, his scale dropped dramatically, which wasn't intended, but I am overlooking it because he's a shape shifter so size is irrelevant to him .
Hey awesome entries.
Black Volgan: Nice Sketching, I really should do more actual sketching!
Tommoy: Brilliant, I've seen quite a few of your other drawings, very cool stuff. You seem to have a lot of confidence with the marks you make.
Grim Rabbit: Very cool, I'm not even sure how you've gone about painting that but I like it.
Denzo: I like the way your image looks like you have done it very quickly yet still very effectively.
Monotony: Haha, I love the character in that little guys face. He really doesn't want to be there right now.
Pentagear: Very nice and smooth, brilliant anatomy too.
I ran out of steam on this one. Might finish it another time...

Here is my second dsg ever. First time I have sketched by blocking out shapes instead of sketching with lineart. Not really sure how much sense that made but I hope you understand what I mean. Well Im going to try and be more active here since it is real good practise.
that's funny. nice one mate.
Edward: I like yours. I'd like to see it with a more spattered and noisy background, I think that might work better than the warped texture for quick sketches like these because of the detail mismatch. I like it that they don't look like men in monster suits.
A quickie during break at work
