Flaskpost- sweet tack! Ja, jag måste ösa lite mer faen. jobba jobba!

WIP!!
Ok so, I started painting this today. Gah, frustraiting but still fun. I see now that there are some stuff around the torso (boob) and shoulder that needs to be re-painted and I'm not satisfied with the hair/waves wtf at all. I'm thinking of going over it with oils also, to get some details into the face maybe. Hm we'll see. This is painted with acrylics, yeah.

sevarenge - thanks mate!
WhiteC- jikes! what a coincidence. It's just a random "name" that I picked some years ago. it has no meaning whatsoever- to me. I'll keep it up for sure.

Alrighty, this might be my very first concept character, like ever. I can call her... Crow, just for the sake of it. Not that she's finished or anything. It was just a fun challenge. (her legs are too long x( )
And some Hogarth studies, yeeeah!

Oooh comments !

Mumph- tack! Jag går på Norra Konstskolan i Stockholm. Det är också en förberedande ettårig utbildning. riktigt härligt

Braintree No problemo amigo, and thank you!

Timmi-o-Tool- Heh nice, so it's in use then, I'm glad. Traditional is so much fun, got to do both! Thanks for commenting

OK. Here's a crap update again, but at least it's something. Needed to post this before I leave to Berlin tonight with the class , whoo I'm excited!

So first two bad selfportraits with a mirror as ref. working with rendering etc. First one looked so angry and not like me at all so I had to draw one happy me. And yeah, there's a lot of anatomical problems.. but I think they're better than some I drew before so...
anyway, last is a Frazetta study, failure though, need to do some more of those, he's a God.

Hey man,

That last color study is really rich and chunky. I love it. You use really nice hue choices and consistent energy throughout the piece.

Your work is showing progressive unity - Keep it goin' !!!

Vloth, what an awesome surprise. Your sketchbook is full of great studies from anatomy to master studies and using different materials. No critique just encouragement to keep up the great work. Keep that ball rolling!

Yep yep. Keep studying. It's nice to see the progress you make. I especially like the very last one. You jumped a few steps higher with your colours there. Real nice. More of that.

orgo- Thanks a lot man! Appreciate the encouragement!
YuZa- Thank you! I sure will keep it rollin' for quite some time.
HumbleHenk- whoo! more colourstudies then! thanks for dropping by again.

well well, some sketch concepts for an illustration project we have in school. But I don't think I'll do the finished paintings digitally though, or maybe as a combo of watercolours and photoshop, we'll see. It's easier to sketch in ps.

Here's an update with a schoolproject. We got assigned to illustrate a text and turn it into a book, lot's of fun! This aint a finished book ready to be published, it's only a dummie. But it was a fun experience working with it and the dude that wrote the text liked it a lot, success!

I'd really like some help with this one, ciritiques on.. everything. Because I thought I'd try to paint it with acrylics later today. The pencil sketch is from observation (mirror) and the colours are from head. And the perspective is quite odd. D:

Started with the painting. Not sure what I think about it yet, I'll have to sleep on that. Might go over it with oils another day. it's acrylics btw. and some crappy stuff from head (shows)

Nice sketchbook. You seem to have a particular strength in faces and I really like the bold colors that you use in your paintings. I'm very bad with acrylics so I'm not sure if any critique I could give you would be helpful.
