I've been working on this painting of a redcoat but I seem to be having trouble with the anatomy. Specially the transition from the torso/jacket to the legs. Something just seems OFF, but i can't put a finger on it.
The painting obviously isn't very well rendered out yet, but i wanted to nail the big forms and the anatomy first before i start worrying about the details.
I think that the forearm on the left could be shortened up a bit and the gun could be foreshortened, making it point towards the viewer. Also, the coattail on the right side could be higher than the one on the left as his arm is raised.
