A quick portrait study from photo and some refinement for one of the old environment sketch.
Amazing stuff! very inspiring, thanks.
@LovanRoyen: You're welcome.
@oren90: Thank you!
@LordVenom: Cool thanks! Glad you like the Leyendecker studies.
More environment sketches. All 3 pics have photo as the base and I just play around over it. Last pic is a variation of my older colour sketch.
The lighting on this last one is sick!
@Kidult: Hey thanks!
@jozulus: Thank you!
@oren90: Great update on your sketchbook!
@UmpaArt: Haha thanks bro.
@miycko: Yeah I'm trying to focus more on cityscapes lately. It's a great subject matter to brush up on your perspective skills.
@Giorge: Duly noted!
@sourgasm: Heyyy you been whipping out lots of stuff. I've been working on a brand new portfolio (specifically tailored to various clients) in hope of getting a full time job over at Singapore.
Some stuff I've been working on. Will slowly post pics from the project I've been working for my new portfolio.
nice and awasome update , your backgrounds and futuristic scenes are magic, just one thing bug me and that's in third one, he looks stiff as hell his legs are really straight so is his spine his static like a puppet on hinges, the rendering is great but that pose really takes it down with the stiffness.
now that it's out of my systems, i love your futuristic buildings, they're well done
@AlexTooth: Yeah environments can be really tricky especially when it involves lots of perspective guide for cityscapes.
@oren90: Thanks for the crits! It's a sign I need to practice more anatomy-- XD
@Fumble: I recommend practicing perspective that deals with eye level. Often most environment have fairly standard eye level and this is what I'm practicing at the moment. 3 point perspective is still something of a nightmare for me haha.
@Cyprinus: Thanksies! Love your recent studies in your sketchbook. XD
Did the portrait without referring to any pics. I should get back to doing more Leyendecker studies by most pics I have right now are pretty low res and will be getting his artbook soon which I will do more studies from it.

Nice atmosphere on the landscapes.
wow your environments are really nice. i think if you spent as much effort into your charactrers as you did with the cities and this portrait (http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...s_220-copy.jpg) i think they would improve greatly as right now they look stiff and generic. hope that wasnt too harsh, anyway keep up the good work
Keep 'em comin'!
@RickyRubro: Thanks for the crits! I'm more on an environment guy and I really need to work on my figures. Don't hold back those crits just be honest!
@Fumble: Glad you find it useful. Thanksies!
@Mahran: Thank you!
Trying something different than my usual method. Lots of masking/selection and gradient tool.
Here's a WIP of it (in a flip way...) :
Wow! impressive landscapes and enviros, and glad to see another malaysian on CA as well
colours and your digitals are really lovely here... focusing abit more on construction of the heads and refining details in some of the concepts will push you work even further, but really solid studies and work ya got here!
Sweet works man. Your architecture's kicking all kinds of butt!
