this is a graphite drawing i am working on,
let me know if i am on the right track
it's a commentary on the emulation of nature technology tries to produce
The jellyfish at the bottom is really nicely rendered. The darkness of the background makes the subtle gray tones in the jellyfish stand out and look good. The top half of the drawing isn't nearly as strong. I think it loses contrast as the background gets lighter and this makes it less interesting. Also, the white patch of lights at the top left is distracting and a little confusing. I'm assuming that's suppose to be the water's surface but the fact that it's only in one spot doesn't really make sense. Although I do like the eye movement you're creating from the bottom jellyfish, through the second one, up to the surface. Maybe that highlight just needs to be toned down a bit so it doesn't compete so much with your main focus. Nice work!
yeah, i am hoping that with the completion of the second jellyfish, that the lightsource will work a bit better.
thanks for your help, and a update will be upcoming!
