Hi there.

The biggest issue I can see so far is in orange city.jpg. The composition is completely dead. The lighting is even all over and, while you seem to have a focal point (the figures), nothing directs the eye to them except that they're darker than the floor beneath them. All the lines you have converge nowhere and leave a huge dead space right in the middle.

I like 'Brig'. Keep it up.
Welcome to CA.

oh okay, so I'm just updating... maybe I'll be less lazy this time around and update
hopefully the updates will turn into a daily thing.. at least for the duration of the summer.
I tend to doodle when I start getting bored with the model.

i'm really inspired by the style of a lot of concept artists, but as of late I've been sketching with a more illustrative style.. it's been really fun to draw this way.

oh, and this is my WIP for the "Newborn" contest ... kind of late in the game with under a week to go, but I should be able to submit my entry by then. It's the birth of Athena. She was born from the forehead of Zeus after he had eaten her pregnant mother.

this is my WIP for EOW.
unfortunately, these are not the colors that I want in the painting (they're slightly off).
my jpegs show up bluer than they do when in photoshop.. I had opened the file on my friend's computer to see if it would look different but I get the same results.. does anyone have any idea what's happening? D:

well, this is kind of annoying. I still haven't figured out why Photoshop is saving my jpegs slightly bluer.. I took a screen shot of this self-portrait while it was opened in Photoshop, which I then pasted into MS Paint aaaand... the colors did not shift. So I just cropped the image to just be the painting and that seems to be an okay work-around. However, I would rather have it to work properly in Photoshop

I had re-installed Photoshop to find my problem persisted! however, when first loaded Photoshop, I was given a warning that my monitor's color profile was defective. Soooo, I changed it's profile to sRGB and voila! everything is fine.

This is a very small update of my WIP for the "Den of Thieves" EOW. I'm going to keep sketching and find another composition just because I'm not feeling 100% confident with this one.. maybe a little more work will fix that, maybe not.

tooooony, your newborn entry is great

your EOW needs some varied brush strokes and edges, theres no focal points other than some changed in value and colour.

Holy variation in styles Batman! Great work all around. That Athena pic is probably my favorite, I can't really say why, other then the colouring is amazing, and I almost find the pic kind of whimsical in a way. That could be just me though haha.

I think your EOW looks nice without the character. The apple looks de-licious and it looks as though you have fun whilst you draw. Which is always refreshing to see

I had a lot of fun with this one (I was inspired to work in this style after seeing the sketchbook of Mr. Delicious) .... I'll probably come back to this one later

edit: and by style I mean working from a gray scale towards color and the portrait

update ;o i found the detailing work to be very comforting... I'll probably not continue this one.. I'll work on something with a better composition if I want to put a ton of time into it.
