Another fast, seem to be in a slump atm so not taking my time at all... Just realized my head anatomy knowledge is really lacking btw, more studies i guess.
These last few posts of them are looking really fab, and this skull one looks neat! The only thing that looks wrong to me is the eyes aren't quite level.
If you have the time, please stop by my sketchbook, Chock Full o'Nuts.
I would appreciate any advice or critiques.
DKHutcheson: Thank you, reason why the eyes aint level is cause well... my eyes ain't level. lol
Lets try this again shall we... sigh... (anyone keeping count of how many times thats been said now?)
Not finished no, wont finish either. Think i learned a thing or two about values just now... though you cant tell that i did in the SP.
This is what you get when you sit at an akward angle while drawing.. all scewed... messed up the eyes miserably.
Press hard! Put some good hard dark strokes in there and it will really give definition to your forms Just do it!
These are looking great and you are picking up on the planes of the face well!
hala: Ye i know, have to go darker, just really hard with the paper i'm using. Thank you btw.
One more... Then another 900... Jebus, that's a bit less than 3 years if i do daily (which is unlikely...), can't wait to see what i'll be able to cram out then. O_O
what kind of paper are you using?
Love the nose in the most recent one!
Can't just leave it at 99... Been meaning to scan this for some 3 weeks but i just didn't get around to it, until today that is.
Enjoyed looking at the big improvements!, like the last one very much, fabulous pencil lines/values, post more!
*ViRuS*: Thanks! I'll see what i can do about doing a longer one. =)
mpdpsy: Why thank you, i will post more! =P
Just a fast line one basically.. (duh).
Another fast one. Shit, gotta stop doing them right before bed.
*ViRuS*: Hey, thanks. Doesn't feel like i am though, need to get into gear again. =/
Reminds me of a line in an episode of the TV show Ed; "elongate the face to be swedish".
Think i overdid it a bit.
Looked way better before my scanner decided it wanted a washed out look... sigh.
There's a huge improvement looking over the whole thread, very inspiring.
I'd love to see a good, long, fully-rendered portrait.
