j.s. sabastian: Nice concept. Try to avoid using cloud filters for backgrounds. I think it's better to be consistent and paint everything, rather than slap a filter on, even if it is a sketch. You can really tell, especially with the white outlines of the painted bits. It kinda makes it look tacky.

No reference for the body so it was especially challenging, upper shoulders/arms are a bit wonk. I wanted to go for elegance.

Hey thanks. I thought I'd just go for a minimal approach and have only his fingers produce blades. I'd worry he'd accidentally poke himself with all those other spikey bits haha.

SaintFuse: Thanks, you're right, it's a bit messy. It was late and I was just scribbling. I like your character. You're right though, with a bit of reference used, especially for the legs, you'd have a great concept.

lkjhgfdsa: Really nice, I can imagine him having that blade cluster as some nasty finisher move. I'm liking the lighting you've got on the armour. You can really tell it's solid metal. I'd watch out for proportion though.. The legs look a little too short, and I think the left arm might be too. I'd want to imagine this guy looking like an eight foot tall giant!

Mine's more of fire clusters and blades, they are burning so hot that it gives a beautiful illusion of fire while it kills the enemies almost instant. Let me introduce you to the most powerful mage, the master of fire!

Gotta keep reminding myself, that the goal here isn't a finished, great piece of work. For me, it's to learn to do something quick - notice the absolute bodge background with no attempt at layering or doing anything interesting! And then to I gotta try not to worry when I post a pic that I'm just not happy with.
