So I've been on this forum for a while now, only posting sum crap trying to help others, but now I want to help myself. So I thought to myself: "what can I draw that I know I won't give up on?" And then I found the answer. Demons!
Or more uncommonly known as Darkpeeps. So I decided, one darkpeep a day(approx.) till I get good at it and then I will start adding more stuff! YAY!
So here is the first one

Okay so I was playing with the opacity in PS and I developed this idea of a cliff waterfall thing with a kind of daring perspective
And so this WIP was created. No Darkpeep yet, will upload later today.

I use the attachment manager. oh well I suppose I could use photobucket

I just save my work in jpeg 72 DPI, and width aprox 15 cm.

Gives a accepatble result and its not to big

Ok so here is today's post. No Enviro this time. This piece is actually something I had scribbled down earlier and I saw it in my sketchbook and thought that it would be fun to turn it into a digital piece. So here it is. Mind you it's not that good, had to put it together in the 60 minutes that I had for free time.

I'm sorry but I won't upload a Darkpeep today but I will have one up tomorrow. Instead I will show you some stuff from my physical sketchbook. Oh well, look on the bright side. I went to 40 kilos to lift in upper body today, so that's a first for me. But without further ado here are the pics...enjoy if you can and of course, comments and crits would be helpful to extremities. Also contained is the original sketch of yesterday's Darkpeep. this is taking so long! I've been at it uploading and editing for about three hours now!!

Hi you guys I can't believe it's already the 15. Only 7 days 4 hours 2 minutes and 10 seconds to Far Cry 2!!!
So anyway here is the darkpeep of the day and an update on the enviro. not a big one, but I'm not getting the texture of the rock face right, and I need some help. The darkpeep is mainly a face study and the hair is funky(literally!!).

So, another day, another darkpeep. I know I have to be patient. Skills come over time. Unless you're born with them. Damn you Mentler, the incarnation of DaVinci! I tihnk this one hasw a pretty good composition and there are some anatomical issues

Hey dude, its great to see you have enthusiasm, but if you wanna progress fast, its not about how much you drawm but more what you draw, and what you learn from it. Right now you wanna be doing as much life drawings as possible, on top of that you wanna do photostudies, master copies, anatomy and all that stuff. Keep it fresh and when you study, try to make sure it interests you, or you won't take anything in. Anyways keep it up.


Oh and Far Cry 2 is gonna kick some serious ass

Yes, it is true although I do not upload everything I draw and I have been doing some life study and I'm getting pretty good at it and I can definitely see if something's wrong. I've kinda given up on the darkpeep thing and I wanna make it weekly, just focusing more on studies. Thanks for commenting, I really appreciate it.

wow updates again. Well, this is something I have been doodling around with for quite some time now but never nailed down. It's a dreadnought/spaceship thing that I don't know much about. It isn't finished.

The thing is I should work as hard as you, working more with environments and all that stuff, I'm too centered on characters.

Alright to your stuff....one thing...put the digital paintings aside for the moment...
what you need the most is to lern lern lern! sometimes it's realy hard to switch of your fantasy and thnk about the technical part of art but you have to get a good grasp of it... and if the people see that your really killing the paper with studies they'll gravitate to your SB and keep on encouraging you, i tell you

Here are some avatars that I made, they're really just opacity exercises. Painting nebulae and galaxies is fun, but time consuming. The green one is purely from imagination, I just liked the concept of space tornadoes.
