MJ Alcazar, Darknight thank you!!
Update! Exercises, sketches, an EoW, a ChoW I didn't submit and a GUI I was asked to do...
what a great update! You worked hard, good boy. I liked the GUI but ot the other side, the anatomy of the other things is still not correct at 100%. Good idea also for the illustration with the child in front of the crystal, maybe you could adjust the lenght of the arm. Keep it updated my friend.
IanE, anjin, GaussianRaider, TheGnoll thank you all guys!!
anjin you're right, the loose comic-like anatomy was intended, but maybe it's a bit too loose, it's awkward...
Update!! Sketches and the first pages of my new sketchbook for pencils only! I realized I'm not able to draw with pencil and I regret it because it's the ultimate drawing tool... (after the Pilot G-Tec maybe. Or maybe not... I don't know...)
anjin, Shadow Stalker thank you, guys!!
Gnoll I'm using the same scanner, but maybe I've finally learned how to use it...
The symmetrical sketches are made with Photoshop but are obviously inspired by the Alchemy wonderful mirror function (I hope they'll put in Photoshop one day...).
Il nome vero è Pierugofrancesco e ho scelto revenebo perchè è più corto!!! AHAHAAHAHAHHAAH! Scherzavo, mi chiamo Giacomo.
Update!! New EoW and exercise (copied from a photo of Countess Grotesque).
I really like that EOW castle piece. There's a really wonderful use of perspective in there. There's two things bugging me though: 1) the windows are wayyyy to small if compared to the stairs (same goes for the door, and handrail.... unless the stairs are too big), and 2) the way that the stairs and gargoyle supports lead away from the centre hallway really pulls the painting into three parts. Still, it's wonderful.
Looking back through this sb, your sketches have gotten tonnes better! i like the ones in post 97. Keep it up!
wow, lots of cool work you have here! your work on all of those chow's and eow's is great.
feels a bit like dracula's castle yould use a bit more contrast though, feels a bit washed out. anyway the design is awesome!
and I like the dog drawing (if that's what it is ) you have as your avatar now
very, very cool... what else can i say... keep workin i will come back for new stuff thats for sure
My first sketchbook... wanna improve!
I also wanna rock! ROCK! tuptuptudum...tudumtuptudum...tudumtuptudum... I - want - to - rock!
Pixie Trick thank you! Yes, proportions are a bit off, the stairway is either too big or too small. The small lit windows were thought as very small holes in the walls, but they just look out of scale. The overall effect should point towards Piranesi's work but I hit the mark only partially.
About composition... well... I don't have an eye for it.
monotony thank you!! I do my best jumping from EoW to ChoW. About Dracula's Castle colors: I have a new monitor that shows very light and desaturated colors, so I paint either too dark or too light...
quackart thank you!
Update! ChoW, sketches and painted-over sketch... Critiques about the ChoW character anatomy warmly welcome (critiques in general are welcome...)
Awesome sb.. gotten much better at anatomy. Love the characters =]
There is some awesome stuff here! I really love the elves in your latest post; they present a very original design. Also, the last image you posted absolutely terrifies me.
