I love concept art. I have a lot of things in my mind I want to put down on paper.
I mainly draw, but if I were to pick one natural artistic medium it would probably be airbrushing, because it has the capability to get the kind of realism and style I prefer - But I want to do this on a computer, using a tablet (assuming I can't do it with just a mouse).
The trouble is I'm not sure where to start when looking at tablets - There is a daunting selection, and I'm not sure what my needs really are.
I want to use the computer tablet for everything from quick sketching out of ideas, to detailed rendering of high quality works.
What kind of features should I look for in a professional tablet? The kind someone would use if they worked in the game industry creating concept art or textures.
I have a feeling that I would like to have as much space to work on as possible, so I don't feel so confined to keep moving the screen around to match the tablet.
As for price range, I'm willing to spend hundreds of dollars to get a professional quality tablet. I did see that one they've got around $700 which is basically a monitor you draw right on like a tablet, now that would probably be cool but maybe a bit excessive for my needs...
But aside from that I a have no idea what tablets I should be choosing from.
Any advice or recommendations are appreciated to help me get started...
