They are finally finished - solar system travel posters

Hi all,
I don't post much, but I'm here everyday getting inspired and, well, drooling.
Anyway, I've finally finished a series of images I like to call Rocketship Tours - inspired by the vintage travel posters of the 20's and up. Some you may have seen and others are brand new. Almost all have some relationship to an actual travel poster whether it be layout, colour or some other element. Let me know what you think. PLUG: I wasn't going to do this, but we all have to pay the bills, right? Prints are available at http://www.zazzle.com/stevethomas END PLUG. And thanks again.

Nice. These are looking great
Had some fun with a retro poster recently myself. I like how you handled them.

HAHA, love the pop-art style, those are awesome. Venus and the Moon are my favorites.

Very good. You have the look down pretty close, and they're funny too. I love those old posters too. Seems to me that back then the line between graphic artists and illustrators was much fuzzier, if there at all.

But it seems like you weren't really that into Uranus.

Sorry... couldn't help it.

You nailed the retro look with these. The type work really enhances your paintings. Good job.

Love the theme and the general look.
However, the wheels in the first image aren't touching the road... and if they hover they don't really need wheels at all.

Beautiful work that really captures the feel of the originals. I have a "Mystic Africa" vintage travel poster that looks alot like your "Uranus".
