If you see him you'll probably see the teaser for his upcoming DVD.
And if you don't see him, you can check it out here:
Oh.. and tell him Aaron says hello.
Sweet , gonna start putting away money now! The trailer looked amazing. Thanks for sharing Aaron, out of curiosity I like the music, who is it?
They actually slowed it down.

This would be my Pleine Air blog
I'm all up on that... can't wait to have a little Dan in my room.
By the way Aaron, that was some great editing. Was the music your track, too?
The song is Gettysburg by Ratatat. I guess one of the guys from the band is a childhood friend of Dan's or something. Oh, and Youtube compressed it horribly... you should pick up the real version at your local music shop or Amazon or wherever.
I don't have an exact release date. I've edited about 9 hours of footage but I get pulled aside to work on other videos so it's hard to predict.
Glad someone noticed the editing Youtube makes everything look horrible but I try.
Holy moly, thanks for the link. That man can paint like a demon on meth.
Awesome, and background music from Ratatat is a bonus. I love their shit too.
http://www.myspace.com/ratatatmusic has someother stuff if anyone is curious.
Wow. Did he just re-create his digital painting for the sake of making an oil?

YEA DAN! I'll happily buy this dvd.
At least this is the method he showed us at the master class, I'm assuming that is what that print out he is holding is
I agree though, it is a kick ass method for getting your image right before you actually go paint it. I mean shit...i feel like i can't use any other method after learning this. It's so dammed good!

Absolutely amazing. Definately going to be buying this when it becomes available. You guys rock!
I just saw this thread.
I am happy you guys like the trailer so far.
I am super psyched for the DVD.
Aaron has done a stellar job and has 5 DAYS worth of raw footage he had to edit.
No easy task.
The DVD should focus on the process of creating an illustration.
Unlike Shawn's DVD that dealt with the fundamentals of painting, this one will talk about client relations, acquiring reference, and a few other things specific to the book cover genre.
RATATAT has kindly let us use their music for the DVD,
so it's guaranteed to have a bad-ass sound track at the very least!
- Dan Dos Santos
very beautiful piece
cant wait to see the final production!
