Work your butt off and you can get into atelier for sure, be patient and work hard! By the time you've filled up 3 moleskines you'll definitely be a better artist Just out interest, is there a minimum and maximum age you have to be to apply to CA Atelier? Keep it up, inspiring stuff.
There's no maximum or minimum as far as I know. They've had students as young as 18-ish and as old as 30-ish, so I don't think there's really an age requirement either way. They seem to handle most applications on a case to case basis.
Iridyse: Thanks! I'm fortunate enough to have one of Danielc's sketchbooks in my hands atm, so its a really good reference for studying pencilwork. It helps a loooot.
Markwinters: Yes, sensei! I took down notes on that in my SB.
Localfatheaded: Keep doing it, man. Persistence is the key. =P
Helioth: Thanks man. =) I'll send you the stuff I have on planes.
a la bapsi: ohyes.
Mattgamer: My own nook of delicious ewok rape.
SamC: Working my butt off is the plan. Eventually they'll just get sick of me applying and let me in... maybe. Hopefully. Someday.
Danvancool: Hell yeah, man. The encouragement persists! I don't foresee it fading anytime soon.
Algenpfleger: Waaaaaaaugh you're in my SB! Awesome. Motivated isn't even the word, man. Dallas took my artistic brain, bent it into strange positions, and made sweet sweet love to it.
Some stuff from today. Random sketch and a 2 hour pose from life drawing with Gilead, Markwinters, and the rest of the Arizona crew.
Tasty sketches, Lovely progress.
Suckle that knowledge like a piglet does with a sows teats! COME ON! WORK IT BABY!
Just a portrait WIP, experimenting with colors and lighting. Will probably take a few days to finish this. I want to see how far I can push it.
I'm probably going to spend most of today reading Aristides' "Classical Painting Atelier", but there should be some gestures later today as well.
If that's from your head it's really nice - I love her expression!
Mock - you are tearing it up man - Amazing stuff here! (And that last piece is looking breathtaking!) Keep em coming!!!
Daryl Zero: "A few words here about following people. People know they're being followed when they turn around and see someone following them. They can't tell they're being followed if you get there first."
such vast improvement, Mock! Scanned your pages and I dont think you should have to wait too much longer to get in the atelier. It was a pleasure to meet you and the AZ crew last week.
Ill keep an eye on this thread
wow girl, you're going like one possessed! Don't stop!
A lot of improvement since I last peaked in here pre-Dallas.
Again, keep at it!

You guys are fucking AWESOME.

Equality72521: Let's hope so! I don't think they'll have spots open for several months, so I'll just keep working and hope I'm good enough by the time a few more open. It was great to meet you at the workshop!
MJAlcazar: Can't stop now! =P
Danvancool: Thanks man. I think I'll be able to keep this pace up. I'm ot even remotely tired of it yet, haha.

Verehin: Whoo! Thanks. =)
Helioth: Haha, I'll try!
Worked on this some more between figure drawing, reading Aristides "Classical Painting Atelier" and watching Dobskys perspective videos repeatedly to get this stuff permanently burnt into my brain. Still far from done. I need to refine her hair a lot more and finish the gold tones on her armor. I decided to go for something other than the plain white shirt. Mostly because a girl in armor is slightly less boring that a girl in a plain white shirt.
I also need to work on those blue gems to give them a more transparent feel.
hmm I think the green in her eyes looks too saturated? *flinches* please don't hurt me! It looks nice it looks nice! yeah!
Wow. The others are correct about your art after the workshop. Amazing.
