hey everybody, here's some new images I wanted to show y'all....as you can see a few are very much inspired by Android and Sparth, kings among men
Other pieces here are from life drawing, couple of art shows, and various other projects.
Thanks for looking, take care, and keep f!@#$ing drawing!!!
btw, if you haven't picked up Sparth's new book, get it!!
Some good stuff Alex. I see that you're palletes are starting to mature and your getting better with design. I like that last piece that you have there. Looks like I need to get on with finishing some stuff. It's been a minute since I've posted anthing that I've done.
Awesome overload X_X
wow, loving your lighting, the kid/robot monster/rooftop is my favorite, I love the composition. Some of the forms/perspective seem a tiny bit off in some of them (like in the vehicle that looks like a tiger head for example), but thats a minor complaint-a little more attention to detail there and you'll have em nailed, great stuff!
that mother bird piece is excellent! i only wish the canvas was a little wider and taller, it would help with composition as there is a bit of uncomfortable tension created between the left-of-image and the wing, and the top-of-image and the head. wonderful stuff, nonetheless, your inspirations read very clear from the get-go, but i know its all a part of developing and nurturing your own personal style. keep it up!
Wow, some very nice images here and beautiful colours.
You draw fantastic cute kids. The second to last environment is stunning!
The fourth image, the girl in her bra, looks really out of place. Very flat, duller colours and unfinished looking.
my sketches here... http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=92997
www.sevans.co.nz , visit them or a puppy dies!
Very nice Style
hey cool stuff man. i like the style.
btw, i think i've painted the same exact model you painted there. haha its a small world
dude great stuff, the first one is awezome!
Great work! I love the top image, really chaotic and huge! Those are two enormous monstrous things I'm seeing right? They look crazy! Sparth influence shines nicely in some of your work (I'm just waiting for the book to arrive!) ordered it a while ago from Amazon but it's taking its time
There's a lot of variation in your work, like it could be the work of many artists, I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing because it's all good -- personally I think I prefer your environments, but saying that the water storm pic is immense!!
Keep it up! and thanks for sharing.
Lots of good stuff in your pieces, not always of the same quality.
Anyway you've done some tremendous work.
I pretty much second what Spooky said. Sometimes your outlines/rimlights flatten what would otherwise be really solid paintings, and occasionally the artist you drew inspiration from is a bit obvious (which you mentioned), but other than that, great stuff. There is enough solid work here to get a really good portfolio going.
Still going strong I see. I think Gargoyles is the strongest piece here. Keep up the good work brother.
Amazing stuff dude! Well done
hi , i saw your second work somewhere else... but i did'nt see the others that are realy great , congratulations . I want see others

Lotet, so glad that first one is your fav, I think it's mine too!!
Scarecrow, thanks for the kind words...you're gonna flip your sh$t when you see Sparths book!
Spooky, thank you! And yes, I'll keep posting
Sourgasm, I hear ya on the rims and outlines, for sure one of my weaknesses.....btw, great name
Weazle, what up! Thanks for the words bro.
Moikey, much thanks my friend.
Picksel, glad you like them. Thank you!
This is another piece in which custom brushes really dictate and lead an image through to the end. I love being able to blend the abstract with realism, as I tried to do here
If any of you want to learn to make brushes in this manner, I highly recommend David Levy's 'From Speedpainting to Concept Art' dvd produced by the School of visual Effects.
You really seem to be pushing your work more and more! I like to see that! That last blue piece is sick! Oh, and I need to get Sparth's new book too!
Life is a long lesson in humility.
Fan of Andrew Jones? You've pulled off an amazing style here that seems consistent in all your pics.
But there are a couple proportioning issues, mainly between both arms of the pic of the girl there. Also with the "ship shaped like a tiger head" pic as named before: It's a bit hard to see how the oranged-out piece of the vehicle connects to the darker area, if it's behind it or if it's another structure entirely even, it's hard to tell. It looks like it's meant to be part of the same body but maybe to show that you should have either a piece of framework, a cable or something obvious that we can see lead from the darker part of the vehicle, to the more oranged-out part, slowly becoming more orange as that piece of apparatus travels to and connects to the part that is further away.
(I really, really hope that made sense XD, just show where the connection lies).
Some amazing work, I love your environments.
Your 9th piece (with the birds) has excellent color - I love it! I'm going to look up some tutorials on color theory after I'm done browsing about... keep it up!
The tower is a mighty tall one...
wa o very nice work
MY SKETCHBOOKS http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...8:lifedrawing:
Awesome work! The first one is my favorite!!
Help me improve my drawing skills by commenting my sketchbook
Really enjoy the Gargoyles pic. Neat stuff man.
Wow dude, awesome work, really like that last one and that blueish painting with the robot-thingies (sorry, didn't know a better way to refer to it ) !
Excuse me for asking, I'm new to digital painting, so I don't know much about it, but how do you do those repeating patterns and those sharp lined geometric figures (like those concentric circles) Is it just having patience, or are there any tricks to it?
EDIT: Nevermind, already figured it out
