This is ok. But as people keep telling me, you have to study the subject that you draw. Gather reference. Learn more about anatomy both in humans and animals. And most important of all; Stay Curious.
And Australia, you have some crazy flora and fauna down there. Go nuts
Please take the time to give me some constructive criticism in my Sketchbook
ok ill work on a few things and post them soon
hey man, i'm also pretty new at all this stuff
so i thought i'd try and give u a bit of feedback cause i know thats what i'm looking for
i think you've got some cool ideas here, the characters are interesting which is great. but i agree with Hilbruks, it looks like u just need to make sure you have references for what your drawing, so that you can nail the basics.
you've just gotta keep chipping away at it, and get that under your belt.
that's what i keep getting told anyway and it seems to work
best of luck to you mate

Original Doive's Sketchbook CRITS PLEASE
it's always a good thing to start a sketchbook, specially if you ave a iron-will to keep it update regularly. Anyway, one advice: buy a anatomy for artist book and work on it. At the moment, stop to raw orks, aliens dragons and things so and give to yourself a more solid anatomy base, draw from life, sketch everything.
You'll be happy to see how fast you can improve your skills in this way.
Hi, it's cool that you've started a sketchbook.
I agree with Anjin, buy a book on anatomy and do a lot of studies and draw from life whenever you can. Ask your friends if you can do some sketches of them so that you're studying anatomy and drawing from real life human beings. My friends think i'm wierd when i ask to draw them so i don't tell them i'm doing it.
All the best, keep at it
ok i found my old anatomy book im starting some sketches today
theres some of what ive done sorry its a little late

my first try at a digital image i probably should have spent more time on it
A good start! Enthusiasm and a willingness to open yourself up for constructive criticism and learning are essential.
Do many drawing exercises before you start drawing. Try drawing things like circles and squares and horizontal/vertical lines - they're great for building hand eye coordination and increasing confidence. Also, once you've done a drawing, try holding it up to a mirror to see how it looks. Most beginner's drawings are skewed one way or another, and by looking at it in a mirror we can start to try and control the distortion.
thanks thek i drew some basic shapes and some wierd shapes today
and about the picture above basicaly its aquaman i didnt realy put much detail in it i just airbrushed colours and smudged them it isnt realy finished but i figured i spent to much time on it
