This is an old work of mine.
I'm posting step-by-step upon request from a fellow member.... something else to say... ahm.. nothing special. used photoshop (the face was penciled and scanned, that's where everything began ), default basic brushes.. also use dodge/burn on occasions... that's about it. done in BW, colorized at the end on a saperate layer. BG > blurred and slighly retouched photo or 2..just to have something behind, didn't bother too much about it.
the sword is the center here so a word about it.. it was made about the time when i saw Pirates...2 so it is a bit influenced (donno if it's obvious? )
CC&Q and welcomed.
well, I like it, it's pretty giegeresque (well, the cloak anyway), the BG is a little distracting though and could use some refinement.
There doesn't seem to be a clear light source, but with or without, i think it might be a nice touch to add some darker shadows on his face.
