DazDaryl ;Hallo friend, I used pencil 2b, 3b and 4b. now use pencil only 0.5 and 0.7 with graphite 2b also
 but depending on the job, depending on finishing the pencil may be better.

Great update!
I'm loving where Pierrot's design is going, nice new hairdo and his belt is a lot more practical with fewer things. Can't wait to see what you do with him, keep it up!

Fine sb you got here! Got the b.h book my self, but you have take better use of it than me. might i try to give it some hard studies to. Cuse it looks like it helpt alot on you. You seems confident in your sketching/works. Well i enjoyed, keep it up

I must say I am very impressed with your SB and it makes me want to work on my life drawing skills some more. To bad I probably won't be able to take my upper division life drawing classes till the spring. I think I like your more realistic and anime concepts more than that urban like style but that is not saying that style is bad but just not my cup of tea.

Olá amigos artistas!
bom, quando comecei a mostrar meus trabalhos aqui nesse forum ainda não trabalhava muito bem com o photoshop. Atualmente estou trabalhando com ele junto com o lápis e estou adorando o resultado, mas sei que poderia ficar melhor. Grande abraço a todos! Hello fellow artists! good, when I began showing my work here in this forum, not yet worked very well with photoshop. Currently I am working through it together the pencil and I love the result, but I know I could get better. Big Hug!

you will be doing yourself a huge, huge favor to toss that copy of burne hogarth in the trash and replace it with Eliot gold fingers Atlas of human anatomy and Paul Ritcher Artistic Anatomy.and mr george bridgman. Burnes good for showing the concept of visualizing 3d masses but hes.. doing weird things to the anatomy. Puffing everything up like a balloon.

I hope for your sake you will see what im talking about eventually.. This is some pretty good work..
I am actually studying with one of burne hogarths students. Rey Bustos, as well as another very respectable teacher -Glen Vilpuu. Both of them recommend other anatomy books over Hogarth and go as far as saying studying hogarth will impair you. Its too much of his style. Im not trying to put your work down, its quite good.

I understand what you mean. Hogarth developed his own technique in which it became famous. His technique is not for laymen or beginning students, transformed the anatomy in a way that we can understand. His form in cylinders and mechanical fit perfectly in the real anatomical study. Particularly I think a genius and I recognize that there is a method that should be used to lay. Andrew Loomis is suddenly better interpreted by these and many others.
I do not mean that other artists are bad, just made my choice and I am a great admirer and innovation of Hogarth. But thanks for the advice, I know I should be a great scholar on the subject. Hugs!
