hey, i'm looking for the wax recipe for hand sculptures, i've been told it's a combination of parafin and another chemical but i'm not sure what that is, the second chemical is said to make the parafin stretch a little more thus making it easier to remove your hand from the mold. Does anybody know the recipe for this or any other ways to accomplish it thanks.
just looking it up alginate seems a little pricey, what i want this for is in niagra falls i saw them with a pot of wax that you place your hands in and then remove the wax from you hand, to get it off it had to be stretchy enough and straight parafin doesn't have the elasticity, now i can get immense amounts of parafin for very cheap it just depends what the additive in it is and what it's worth, as once i have the hollow mold that's all i want, i'm not looking to fill it at all just to paint and work on the hand mold
