Hello all, I'm posting this as a catharsis, as a symbolic skin shedding from
this year that just passed, I'm not the best writer and god knows I still
haven't even touched the surface of draftsmanship, last year was full
of fearful moments and learning in ways that I never imagined,
My mom got sick, and got better, which made me much more aware
of how much I need and love my family: my brother (the GREATEST
coder in the galaxy who has the kindest heart) my father
(the kindest soul I know,) and my mom (the strogest will I know, while
having a kind heart), to whom I have the highest of admiration,
and thanks, for supporting this crazy son of hers in his art endevours.
I got my first job doing illustrations via the internet which brought
me closer to my dreams, I lived, I learned, and loved to the best of
my limited abilities, in the end it was a good year, theres no point
in having regrets, I still have no idea of who am I or were
am I an going, but I can assure you this, I'm stuburn like a mule
so I will get to were I'm supposed to get, when Im supposed to arrive.
I have very little social life, so I thank you for reading this little rant,
for posting every once in a while in the threads I make, and for your
support, which I value In a GREAT degree
I dont know what will this new year will send my
way but I can say this much, BRING IT!

looks like you had a full year. may 2008 be twice as full. some are still messy.. some are lovely. I remember some of them.. i discovered new stuff from you. keep at it man. best of luck!
I've not been around much lately but if you think about it you probably know I've watched your posts on this forum for years now. Looking at this post I definately see improvement. This is a tall order because you've been good for quite a while but your work is progressing.
If this is the career you want then judging by what I see you post, you desrve it!
Keep on keeping on.
Peace, Love and Harmony... I could never get them all into bed at the same time!
Oblio: Thanks for the sincere and kind reply, I will keep on going,
I'm happy you liked some of them, you too keep on trucking!
L. Scott Knight: Thank you very much sir
I appreciate the comment a LOT, thanks for the encouragement!!
I hope we both grow lots more during 2008
and hell yeah!! this is the career i want, ill make it work
no matter how much time it takes!!
Hey Luis, brother stinky hyena talkin'
cool to see your year recap, very nice stuff, and i share oblio's comment, can't wait to see what you'll shell out next year...i didn't see the hulk and cowboy-buffalo pieces from you and man, especially that buffalo one is really a strong one.
Lovely stuff man, keep sharing as you do!
Oooh! I admire your productivity. My favorites are the Penguin, the western, and the Hulk. There's a level of completion in these that's not quite there in the others. I also like that self portrait with the symbols and design elements. Furthermore, If I could learn to use a pencil as well as you do, I'd be a happy man. Looking forward to seeing what you'll do in 2008.
Your paints are great but I love those B&W. This one http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1199264964 is a real gem.
Great stuff, sir! It's really nice to see how your figures have loosened up. I remember stiffness being a real problem for you and I can see great progress there. It's also really nice to see you getting back to some fun fantasy stuff and working with color again.
That cowboy painting is just great and Hulk feels really solid too. Thanks for sharing this update, and keep on kickin' ass in '08!

From the top to the bottom, I can see where you have progressed. Good stuff maxetomer. I love the last post. I need to step it up big time.
