I'm glad I stumbled onto this thread, your work is beautiful There's a lovely gestural quality that I love, and I think your use of (shades of) color is absolutely wonderful I can't wait to see more!
thank you, i am flattered to hear that
You have some nice sketches here. I would suggest for you to watch for your proportions. Do some anatomy studies. And make sure when your doing the hair not to make it as large as the head.
thank you everyone
@micaiah nelson: i know...i often make my hair too large >_< i have to watch out for that.
anyways here is another doodle that i made recently. just some cyborg/robot girl hanging around...somewere
thanks i will watch out for the edges next time
I think you sometimes have the same problem as me - everything is soft, so the overall contrast is low.
but if these works are just the beginning - i'm sure you'll get in 5star section in no time
Keep it up.
All critics/comments are much appriciated
I am soooo in love with the first artwork....hauntingly beautiful
thank you everyone
@kveye: ow i know! i am having that problem for years now! i watch other artists and their art all the time and i try to get the contrast as high as possible but i just can't...seem...to do it >_< i don't know what the hell i can do about it :/
hahaha this tread of mine is so dead well here i am again trying to pump some life into this one. with some new sketches. also,my scanner was not working today so i had to use my bad photocamera and to make thinsg worse, my tablet also did not work so i could not make them very pretty but i hope you like them anyways...even if it is just a little bit
i know that the head on the first one is not connected correctly to her body....i was to lazy to correct that
just a small update...and yes i know...her headband is screwed up T_T
I like that hair...nicely done
I'm more a penciller than a digital artist so i can't give pointers on that.
But still nice work
You're doing good, I'd like to see some more of your pencil art though.
Quick question though, how long does it take you to draw or paint an image usually?
to ralph: don't worry, even if you don't do computer art a lot you are still free to give pointers ^_^
cyprinus: thank you
geoxen: thanks i think there will be enough pencil arts from me in the future so don't worry
how long it takes me for drawing or painting? it really depends...quick sketches like the ones in this topic can take me 15-45 minutes. a full drawing can take me one hour to several hours. it all depends on the topic and what is in the drawing and such.
thanks i try to keep improving
here's another quick sketch that i did...i was very depressed today ( no shit?) so this was all that i could draw today.i tried to draw my problem away...still glad that it came out ok considering my emotional state
You're pretty good, but make sure you're in a good mood when you want to draw first. Then again, that won't help much.

thanks. i know, being in the right mood is very importand for drawing but sometimes when everything is shit you just wanna....draw it all out somewere at least i do. i hope next time i post something here it will be something that i did in a good mood
and here we go again
can somebody tell me how to change the avatar of this topic?
You have to change the attachments of the first post. The thumbnail for the topic is the first one uploaded in the first post.
thanks white village and kasumi.
i did not feel like sketching/drawing today but i gave it a go anyways...sigh
Nice brushstrokes! I like the purple girl on post #20.
PS : The avatar of the thread is the first attachement of the first post. You just have to change it.
Edit : Oh I just saw that someone already told it! ^^ Sorry!
