Wow man, the last posts are great! This one especially http://fc06.deviantart.com/fs23/i/20...roductions.jpg is amazing! First I thought the composition could be more exciting, but I think its dead on to work for the idea.
Great job!

These are loomis studies. Its a book called "figure drawing for all its worth" - you should definitely check them out. here is a link: http://basangpanaginip.blogspot.com/...its-worth.htmlThe head-proportions are from an online tutorial (dont know the link right now) just go ahead and use them. Good luck!

I just can't resist to voice my opinions, despite being just a beginner. I believe I am not very wrong, I make this comment thoughtfully (and slowly, my English isn't so great
), but take it with a grain of salt ![]() it was interesting and surprising to come here... I've already seen most of your DSG and COW pictures, but I wasn't aware that they're all yours. your works are very different, even in quality. the older quick ones are often too blurry, sometimes the anatomy is a bit off, sometimes the pic is too crowded and therefore distracting (COW#115. the animal is far better than the whole thing, well, your creatures are usually really good, COW is surely your place ) and there are other things which harm your original good idea, but you made some really detailed ones (swamp monster - I love the contrast, its atmosphere is very good, COW#113) and the extra time and efforts paid off, those are great ![]() I see you really stopped overusing soft-edged brushes and it was a big improvement, because it was a pity lowering the quality of your pictures with that blurryness, your imagination deserves more and your skills are good enough to present good-looking pictures, as we all can see ![]() your last pictures look like more "serious" with their darker/cooler atmosphere, your older ones were often too bright (for example, coconut crancher, white creature before the bright sky...) and it seems you're not confident enough with dealing many colors at once. your pictures with limited color range are the best (COW#113 was an exception). |

Nice deep stuffs here - have U tried some other blending modes like overlay or hardlight? Will add more luminess / staturated colours - will make your allready fine pic even better.

I like the poses of your creatures, they're good.
my fav is the number 3 version of the new guy, well, I love drama and I feel "it's scary and comes for ME!", the chosen pose is much more peaceful (for me, not for the fish ). well, it's a matter of taste and the final one will be much more impressive anyway.and I think the crop is too tight, the creature touches the frame in the right and go out of it in the top while the left side is a bit empty. good job on the previous creature, I love the environment with those crabs ![]() (I have opinion about the creature too, but I think I should just shut up for now and draw something myself...) |

Hey there, thanks for the post in my sb! Impressive creatures. Design + rendering = win-sketchbook you got here.
Although on that last one, it doesn't look like the whales are swimming in front of your creature. Perhaps let them overlap a bit with the monster? That'd add some to the thrill of the hunt I think ![]()

I agree with Fshoo about the overlapping. I like the creature, though, I think it will be a great pic. all of your recent works are very impressive.... your speed painting collection is great too. this deep thing must be very inspiring, your SB quickly becomes better and better.
the one with the dolphins... I like the impressive dual-view, the seabed, the design of that strange creature... but those shiny foam on the waves is confusing me. such things with dolphins are too sugary and it doesn't suit that interesting and menacing creature, IMO. |

Hey man. Very nice work. You have a unique and very inspring style. Love it.
I agree with shinin and fshoo 2. It looks like the first whale is swimming on the left side (from the creature's view) behind your creature. Overlapping would indeed be the solution i think. Besides that, it's a great piece! Cheers, Surion |

I see exactly what you all are talking about, I knew something was weird besides the fact he needs to be brighter. I think I have an idea. I think I'll extend the bottom so I can add more foreground. that way I can add a shadow for that guy.
I am going to overlap the bigger whale, make it look closer and coming at us, the viewer . Thanks a lot for the help |
