I'm going to be registering at SVA for the classes for my first semester on Monday (feels weird to start my school year in January). And I know the choice of professors really makes a difference what you get out of a class and that it's especially important for the first two years. I know a lot of people that have attended SVA post here so I was wondering if anyone had any tips as to the professors I should really go out of the way to get a class with. Any I should avoid?
Thank you all
So, you're doing the 1st semester spring, 2nd semester summer deal? Unfortunately, I think your choices are far more limited than if you were starting in the fall. I don't have a reg book handy, but if you post the names of the drawing and painting instructors you can chose from I can see if anybody sounds familiar.

I'm a second semester freshman transfer student so I'll just be jumping in with the rest of the freshman class and we should all be on the same schedule. I had enough transfer credits from my associates degree to count toward apx. one and a half semsters. So I'm not doing the summer semester.
Aaaand I just looked at my book to post some names and it appears I don't have a registration book handy either. It looks like they mailed the wrong book to me in my info packet! I just talked to SVA and they're overnighting me the right book so I'll have it tomorrow to look through the names and post my choices. Thanks, Elwell. <---hehe I love this thing.
I'd love to know if there are any proffs I should go out of my way to have a class with or any I should go out of the way to avoid. If you don't feel comfortable posting that here you can PM it to me. Thanks!
