The aim is to produce 50 gestures by Sunday the 25th of November.
The gestures can be of anything, human, animal, cavorting capybaras....and can be in any media, digital or traditional is fine.
In addition to this, participants can choose to do a study of an action pose, in any media. Black and White or Colour is fine.
Come on soldiers! Flex those muscles!!
PS...critting each other is highly encouraged!! Let's help each other get better!
HALL OF FAME - SPARTAN CAMP #19
OK all. the idea of the optional study is to to an action pose. Somebody punching, jumping, kicking, running etc.
try to analyze the pose and put a nice action in it. Exadurate it to make it look more forceful and if you're up to try shading it as well.
Euthyphro - i will put Poultry on the list of optional studies and we'll do it on day.
Can't wait to see the entries, come on dudes. Give me some good stuff!!!
Alright here are my fifty. Sorry about the poor quality, but I normally use a scanner at my work. Most of it is from Loomis, trying to work up the forms and proportions. I'll add on the optional bits before Sunday when I get the chance.
Be frank, enjoy.
Action pose tomorrow, forgot to scan. Will update and crit tomorrow too. ;/ messy day.
First 2 scans are posemaniac ref, rest from head.
Euthyphro; Ah.. I see. It's the Loomis method. Was wondering why I see those specific skeletons so often. Don't worry about the quality, whats most important is that you actually posted . The proportions seem fine, but I always find it hard to see in these kind of drawings. They do seem to give you a good feel on balance and such. I'd love to see more "fleshed out" poses from you, some of those look promising. Should check on the Loomis method to get some insight in this myself :/
MeTaL-Mike; Busy times lately? Just finished some exams myself, enough time for the spartan camp now . Still working on these 50 or will you just join in for the next one? I'll make sure to have the jumping pose for this week done, hate that I somehow missed the previous optional study. Was a good topic though.
