Gorgeous. I love the colors. Illustrative style is very nice. Now I wanna see more.
I dont know why but my favorite is the worm on the hook. Thats great stuff. keep it up
it almost doesnt appear the same person did these.. whats the deal? were the images you posted first really old ones? when you compare the first few photoshop pieces with the latest one, and indeed some of the sketches in your sketchbook, its either they were done by completely different artists, or the first images were done a long while ago and you've improved dramatically since then..
why would you post the first three before the last two, which are clearly infinitely better done?
either way, the portrait is very nice but there is something weird going on with the skin wrapping up into the hair just above the cat. the last piece is ok. technique is good, colors are nice.. but it i don't really get anything from it. no focal point, really.
I'm going to assume that the first four were done from your head, and the one of the girl, and the church top were with reference... so that being said, stick with the reference. It's fun to see what you can do out of your head, but there is such a huge gap between them right now, that drawing/painting from your head will not help you nearly as much as working from life will, or even photos. I know it's hard to work from life if you don't have workshops you can go to, so photos sometimes have to suffice. So keep using that reference, and make sure to study your anatomy, form, and perspective.
In the painting of the girl, be careful with the skin tones getting too monochromatic. You can throw in some other colors for variety in the shadows and half tones. Also, pay a lot more attention to your edges. Her contour is all hard edged right now. Any time you have a round form, the edge is softer because it's turning away from you. Edges will make or break a painting, I promise. Nice treatment on the hair though, I'm diggin' it.
thanks for the all comments
