NARUTO: Rise Of A Ninja :: Artworks ::

Hi CA!!!
It's good to come back to you, i was so busy these last mounths with the Steambot crew. Well, i show you my stuff on the game NARUTO on 360. The game is on sale right now, since the last week, exclusively on xbox and well appreciated by the gamers. It's not the best game made by Ubisoft but we are proud of the final result, the universe is faithful to the anime and the experience is fun. Try it I worked a lot with the game design team to find interesting gameplays and minigames, more than my older games. I also realized several animatics and cinematics for the game (if you try it, all the fox introduction and the rages, a mix between 3D and 2D animations, thanx to After effects lol). Of course, only 50% of the concepts are included in the game, as usual lol so al lot of concepts that i show you here are only concepts. have fun!!!

Absolutely killer work.
Your enviros have a great sense of scale.

Your action shots are incredibly interesting to look at, there is a real beautiful sense of movement in the BnW ones and your use of vanishing points to direct the flow of the image is awesome.

I've always disliked this Naruto story because of how many times it is re-iterated by amatuer artists poorly (as Grief was suggesting) and basically turned me off from investigating any further into it (I know this is really dumb logic, but its difficult to avoid alot of it), but the environments in the action shots for this really draw me in and I really like your style at conveying action.

WOW
ive heard mixed things about the game, but your work is outstanding.
you managed to capture the spirit of the manga/show and the fast
action sequences are really beautiful.
thank you for posting!

btw:
one thing that was bothering me was the use of the old anime scenes.
did you have to use them or was it cheaper than new made animatics?

Your style stay always very recognizable.

I know a Bengal guy who will be crazy like hell when seeing this ! That's a kick in the ass for me as well.
I think the people at Ubisoft were definitely wise to use you on this project btw.
Brilliant series mate.

I love these, haven't played the game but if it looks this good then maybe I'll give it a go! What I really like about these (as well as the tasty lighting and great sense of scale) is that they all feel like they belong in the same world, you've established a great cohesion with all of these images.
Just a quick question, are these all purely 2D or was there some very basic 3D element to speed up the process on some with more complex perspectives?

OMG, I'm a big fan of your stuff... and Naruto... so... damn.
Whatta wicked dump bro, you should be proud. The enviros are just killer! But the lighting in that bedroom is.... to die for. I love how you keep the loose energy in your work, but it's sooooooo tight. You sir, are a ninja.

respect!
