Process for Cat-skin: Girl's TD entry

This is probably totally useless, but I got asked to make a tutorial and I had some free time, so here goes

I'm using a tablet and Photoshop 7. Textures come from Mayang's free texture library: http://mayang.com/textures/ and RobG.

thanks, Erin, your tutorial is a pure gold! You and chaosrocks ( she is a big lover of them too) inspired me to buy American golden age illustrators' books from amazon. I just felt I'm missing something badly not knowing them. I was born in the other country you see.
Yep, it is a the whole other world there... You probably learned it the best way, naturally, step me step in context of fairy tale books, in proper age, sitting near your childhood bookshelves. I took it all in one evening as a big bite when my books arrived .
Love the richness and simplicity of your image and your technique. That's the key of good taste, I think

It's far from useless. I'm jealous, your process looks much more efficient then mine.

Hi Bluefooted,
The tutorial you provided regarding the photoshop is nice, even the pics you took is also nice not the bad one. Steps regarding editing the pics are nice. My friend is doing the photoshop work, he sits for a long time just behind one image and edit the image. Now I will compete him in editing image and see that how long it takes to edit one image. I think it is not so difficult if you understand the layers of the work. The image you took is really nice I like that image.
