Never draw the same thing twice! I see quite a few people do it though, and in my opinion it should be avoided. An example is when drawing a face - especially from imagination - you'll often fall into the trap of drawing the same face from the same angle every time because that is what's easiest. But the reason it's easiest is because you keep drawing it over and over.
One of my rules for my sketchbook is to never draw two faces that are from the same angle on any given page, even if the features of the face are different.

kevinwueste: Thanks. Your figure drawings are some of my favourite I've ever seen. In fact, probably my favourite. And I browse a lot of art, so that means a lot! I would say even better than Craig Mullins, Jamie Jones, or Vilppus' figures.
Thanks everyone! So many replies! I was looking at Jama's sketchbook, and Eric Fortune's stuff and it makes my stuff look like pure crap.
Soooo... everyone's asked me to keep posting, but I haven't drawn anything in the two months I've been gone except what I'm about to post. I've failed! I'll try to draw more though. I have a bit more free time nowadays.

You don't need a nice sketchbook (moleskine) to draw better. I use regular A4 printer paper a lot, I also bought this sketchbook at walmart for $1. It's crap, so I can fill it with crap with no worries! The pen/pencil matters more than the paper.

I just stuck you in my faves...you mentioned your watercolours are dull...personally that's what I think sets your watercolour apart from every other watercolour. Not dull sir, moody. Moody is what they are and I freaking love em!

PS, for watercolors, do you soak the paper then apply pigment (wet on wet)? Or do you color directly from dipping the brush in water?

Advice-o-the-day: Don't become preoccupied with the end result and making a pretty picture. Experiment! The process matters more than the end product. You can always throw out a failed drawing, but what you learn in the process of drawing will stay with you for the rest of your life. If you never push your boundaries you'll never struggle and you'll never learn.

Tsuyoki: I don't use reference for my imagination stuff. I'm sure many people will disagree with me, but I feel using references is a crutch and will stunt your growth if you want to be able to draw from your imagination. In my opinion, if you want to draw from imagination, you shouldn't need to use references unless there is something very specific that you've never drawn before and that you want to get perfect without having to do studies. However, there is a big difference between using reference and doing studies. Studies are SO VERY important. You can see in my SB, I do a crap ton of studies.

Or do you color directly from dipping the brush in water? > I feel the greatest strength of watercolour is wet on wet and I try to incorporate wet on wet as much as possible. The choice between wet on wet or non-wet just depends on the edge I want to draw. If I want a soft edge or any kind of colour or value gradient I always use wet on wet. I do this so that multiple colours can blend into each other. If I want a hard edge (cast shadow) I'll wait for it to dry and then put another layer on top of it.
